It sucks that their relationship is still so strained and there is only one chapter left. It seemed like Kagome played a lot of games in this story. She never really thought about his feelings as much as he thought about hers. She was upset that he was 'testing' her trust in him so she disappears without a word for a week to test how much he will miss her. She was testing him to see if he wanted her enough to change his mind about an issue that she herself refused to budge on. I've found myself disappointed with her several times during this story because of her tendency to only consider how she will be hurt by certain things. On a side note, I find it rather strange that you decided to change the father's name suddenly with only two chapters remaining. It led to a lot of confusion during his talk with Sesshomaru and was a bit distracting.

absotlutely loved the story! i found the heights his arrogance could reach to be astounding and hilarious :D just wondering tho - why was Sess' dad's name changed in chapter 34?

A truly amazing and delightful ending. It seems Sesshoumaru never gave thought that when he fell for Kagome, he met his match in more ways then one. He thought no one could ever change him or his ways, but then Kagome is no ordinary girl, now is she?

I loved that Sessh and his father had finally reached some kind of understanding and are going to make a better attempt at being a family. Sesshoumaru deserved taking over his father's business on his own terms too. He earned it and Kaoru will find that good comes to those who wait...patiently and lovingly. 

I think the separation, though very strained in many ways for both of them, was a good and necessary thing. Sesshoumaru learned the true meaning of love, while Kagome learned just how much Sesshoumaru loved her and how far he'd go to prove that love. (even though it was mostly due to the fact that Kagome made it impossible for him to find her and drag her back home. It was all well worth the wait, or will be when Sessh gets over the fact that he couldn't wait for her to get her release. There's nothing like skin to skin.   JEN

This chapter was beautiful from beginning to end. I know they still have to work out their issues but at least they will be together and not separated to work them out. You can't fix what's broken unless you are there working on the problem. Awesome job!!
