Oh my goodness! I have waited for this chapter impatiently, only to have another twist thrown into the mix.  Now it's going to be nearly impossible to wait for the next one! 

Love this story.  It's very complex and shows a true understanding of the workings of the human mind.  You are also a very good story teller.  Keep up the good work.

I'm under the impression that Maru doesn't know she's alive. The way he spoke about avenging her made it seem as though he doesn't know but it wouldn't seem right that his friend and brother would keep that from him. Surely he would hear the news or read it in the paper... Oh, but you like keeping us guessing, ne?

I liked the interaction between Kagome and Yasha. After all that was said between them and he still moved to take care of her. Finally they were able to just talk and listen to each other and understand how difficult all this has been for all of them. Yash finally allowed himself to feel for Kagome and just let her slowly calm and absorb everything she heard, and he did it with great pains to his legs and butt! It sounds as if he's not the comforting type and other than screwing women, he doesn't know how to interact with them on an emotional level. Well here, he did quite well. I think Kagome is going to be good for the Master Sergeant as well as Maru.

I know many years have passed and because of the massacre that Maru and Kagome have changed, but I just hope that there's enough left from before all this that they can still have that love they both wanted. I am also hoping that Kagura will be able to find their daughter but then we must also understand she isn't really their daughter. She's seven now and whose to say how she's grown up. If she is found, hopefully she'll be able to adjust and they can be a family but then I love fairytale endings...  JEN

Yay! We got Maru's POV!!! I am really anxious for the reunion. The perv in me wants you to put at least a small make out session but the reader in me is kicking its ass, lol. But now that I know how those two are I want to know what happen to lil Rin!!! Now that would be interesting to see Maru's reaction to that news, but he will more than likely have a mini heart attack with the overwhleming news that Kags is still alive plus that he is/was a dad.
