Poor Kagome... she'll understand with time... hell she loves that man.

I enjoyed reading about how Kagome yelled at Sess.  Even though taking into consideration about what they both went through, I wouldn't of expected any less then what you have written.  I can't wait to read the next chapter, keep up the great work!

Oh yeah, there were other less degrading ways to go about getting her to show him that scar, but in his defense I could sense his fury and hatred for what Onigumo had done to him, Kagome and his whole troop. He has mental lapses, breakdowns, whatever you want to call them. He's there, right back where it all happened in a split second. This man was responsible for his men and he blames himself each day that he didn't foresee that Onigumo could hate him so much that he would kill an entire military post just to torture one man. Maru has been scarred so deeply. He's a man consumed by the deaths of all those who held him in such a high regard...

I definitely saw and felt the damn break when Kagome refused to drop her pants. I also felt her breakdown as Maru tried to force her pants to come off. Her struggle to keep her mind and thoughts together and not physically hurt Maru was so intense. I was never so happy as I was when Yasha burst in and put a stop to what was happening. Captain Evanston got off waaay too easy. I'm surprised that Yasha didn't do any physical damage this time, although his words cut home.

I don't know how this will resolve itself but I guess the dinner is is shot now...what a waste of a good meal.   JEN

Hooooo....Maru is in for some hell. Kagome is not going to let this go for a while and Evanston should get his ass kicked. Thank you for the update. This story is awesome!

*blinks stupidly* well... even with a messed up mind... he didn't think that through very well now did he? Poor Kagome i can't help but feel bad for her and i really want to smack Maru for being an idiot. Can't wait to see the next chapter, i'm guessing it's going to prove interesting at the very least, keep up the great work!

That was so humiliating!

How could Maru think even after every thing that he did to her that she would want to be in his near him?? I know I wouldn't. Hell the interrogation part was alright in its own and was to be expected.

But to degrade someone and install that type of fear and terror in a person??

Being female myself and from what’s happened to me in the past she has EVERY right to not even stand to be in his presence!

She had years of being in a servant by those who captured and tortured her. She will keep good on her promise to herself and not even manage a single glance his way. When for over a few years she managed not to say a single word until Shippo arrived.

There is no simple way of saying “I’m sorry I interrogated you and tried strip you. Letting you believe I would rape you. I had to ensure you were the real thing. That you were you.” That just won’t work.

It’s alright to try and ensure her identity but in such a way I would’ve walked all the way back and the wolves would’ve seen me and known I wasn’t in a mood to be messed with.

Captain Evanston was not even tortured nor was he innocent in all of his acts. Does he not realize knowing Kagome’s horrible past that taking that action he lost all trust and respect from Kagome? Hell Maru more than likely lost all his trust and respect trying what he did. That she would never, come and stay with them at their post.

Here I thought my family reunions were bad. This takes the cake.

Cannot wait to see what Maru and everyone do next to get in her good graces. Now only Tanaka and Yasha are those she trusts, wonder how Maru is going to handle that.

Will she not talk to Captain Evanston as well?? How could she?? To even look at them both would ignite such fury and rage.

Well until I find out what happens next keep up the great work. Update when you can. Excellent work.

Oh my god. My heart was in my throat and I felt like I was trying just as hard as Kagome was, just to not cry. Exceptional writing my dear. You really express angst and the torture of the situation very well. Glad that Kagome got in the Jeep. Now I just wonder is Maru will take her back home or to headquarters. hmmm

I've been waiting for a few weeks now-- I figured Sesshomaru would come back eventually. I was, however, not expecting him to go paranoid on her. Quite the twist. :) Ten points! (okay, more like fifteen)... :D

But something about Kagome and these OCs you have is squicking me out a little; take this chapter for example. One second Kagome is in a magical, vague hold that she can't even lift her feet while trapped in (though it did occur to me that she could just have dropped to the floor, if he was putting so much downward force on her... or perhaps I just got the wrong impression. * shrugs*) and she can't get away even when she's having a mild panic attack... And then POOF! Why, this Michael guy is lucky she didn't just up and break his leg! 

Just an opinion, but there seems to be a steep shift going on here- one second we're reading about a Damsel In Distress, the next second, we have Rambo. 

Now, that said, there is something very impressive about how fast and well-edited you can turn these chapters out.  I'm not going to pretend like I don't wait on tenterhooks for each new chapter and moreover I'm not saying that you have a bad story here, not at all. The  there are other ways to show Kagome's softer side without the wild fluctuations. 

Pffft. Not the most elegant review I've ever written. >.> Oh well. They can't all be diamonds in the rough. * sheepish smile *

SUSPENSE SUSPENSE DAMNIT@!!!!!

I have to admit that I didn't believe that this meeting was going to be what everyone wished it to be. After everything that has happened I cannot fault Maru at all for believing Kagome to be an imposter. I do, however, think that Kagome would be well aware that her Captain would not be so easily convinced since she was pretty much trained by him and his standard of training wouldn't be the same as any other leader. I think whatever he has planned may be distastefully degrading(?) for her because she's waited and prayed for this day, but I cannot see her thinking that this 'reunion' would be two long lost lovers reunited.

I just hope that Maru has taken into consideration that IF she is Kagome, then she has also been put through a literal hell for seven long years with no one to help her through her mental breakdowns and such, and if whatever he has planned she just may forget who this is and turn into that hell cat that kept her alive all these years. Maru isn't the only one who has been changed because of this. Let's just hope Maru remembers all he taught his Lieutenant.  JEN

OMG, talk about emotional roller coaster!  I opened this chapter hoping to find the sappy goodness of a reunited Sesshomaru and Kagome, only to find anquish, and a deep feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach!  If a  good author makes the reader feel the emotions of her subjects, you must be GREAT, cause I am almost afraid of the next chapter!
