Hate to be a party pooper... master sergeant is way below the pay grade of a lieutenant. In fact, they aren't even an officer. Yasha is require to salute Hojo and not to talk like that to superiors. He can face demerits by Hojo simply reporting to Yasha's commanding officer.
i was hesitant to read this because i read something kinda like it, but i decided to read this one anyways. then, i find out sesshomarus dead, and i was like, 'okay now they cant torture me.' instead, as im reading this, im sitting in my room almost SOBBING and let me tell you, i rarely cry. this is one of the best fanfics ive read-it has so much EMOTION in it, its killing me. either way, i LOVE your story, love how it seems so AU yet plausible, love the characters (obviously but i like the way you made them).
i put off reading this story for a long time. now that i have finished reading it i don't know why i ever did that. this story had my emotions going up and down. this by far was one of many that had me laughing and crying. the ending was wonderful. i must say that your writing has me looking for more from you. i cant stress enough how good your writing is. keep it up and i will read every one your write. oro, you are the BEST writer of fanfiction about sesshoumaru and kagome that i have had the pleasure of knowing. c'ya'
One word: Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Where do I start praising this magnificent piece? The characterisations where brilliant, I loved how you created the character of Yasha, he was my favorite throughout the story. His inner thoughts and how he referred to his brother and his straight and down to earth logic was simply perfect. I found myself agreeing with him the most. Kagura was fantastic too, if there was a real like Kagura like you described in the story she would be my idol and role model, I love when authors create these respect worthy, strong, brilliant women.
Furthermore, I loved the interaction between Yasha and Maru too, I thought the late night calls were funny and endearing and their bickering very enjoyable. In terms of Maru and Kagome, many times I wanted to bitch slap both of them for being so damn dense, but at the same time it was realistic, I feel that you considered every possible emotion rising from their situation and wrote accordingly which made their actions seem so very realistic. Maru and Kagome really seem to have made for each other, and I think that is quite a feat for the writer, to make two characters seem so right together. I honestly think only Kagome would be able to stand his arrogant, and sometimes idiotic butt for eternity and vice versa. I was honestly reading so fast through the chapters because I just wanted to know what was going to happen next, I was completely enraptured with your story till the very end.
The ending was beautifully constructed, I thought it funny how Sesshomary was having a bitch fit over anything and was rightfully discribed as an "ogre". I really do hope that Tanaka kept Inuyasha at bay from Kikyo, because no matter what, I really do not like her ( I realize that your Kikyo might not be the same Kikyo from the manga, the same as Yasha is not the same Inuyasha from the manga, I actually like your Inuyasha 100 times better, but I just feel very negatively about Kikyo, in whatever shape, form or packaging.) Well at least in my mind Yasha ended up with a woman who was fiesty, sweet and the utter opposite of Kikyo. ;)
Thank you for writing and providing me and your many readers which such a beautiful and heartwarming story. I think you should know that we appreciate your writing and they are able to give us much entertainment as well as joy.
:)
I am loving the twists and turns in this story. I HAD to stop myself from reading more yesterday night cuz it was getting late but oh! My mind was wondering how! just HOW it would end and I thought Maru was dead. Oh dear this story really pulls you in. You are a fantastic author, just had to get that out there!
Bounce (Chapter 1) - Sat 17 Mar 2012
It doesn't seem to matter how many times I read this story, I can never get enough. This and Capital Offense are two of my most favorite stories.
This is such an emotional story. I never forgot it. I could finished back then, but I'll be sure to finish it now. I still belive you are one of the most awesome writters there are in Dokuga. I'm glad you are back and writting more :)

I wish there was an "AWESOME" button on here, kind of simmiular to the "like" button on facebook...
Great Job! I really enjoyed your work.
Absolutely PERFECT!!! I cannot say enough just how much I loved this! I think one of the most endearing parts of this chapter was that Maru's horse allowed Kagome to ride atop his back to the ceremony without a fuss.
You did extremely well for this being based off of a dream. It had all the right stuff a great story needs to keep the reader intrigued and entertained.
Congradulations on the awards this piece has won. You totally deserve each and every one this fic, as well as your others, have won. I cannot tell you just how saddened I am that you no longer wish to write and post stories for us to enjoy. It's nice to know that you will still be a part of Dokuga, even if it is only as a reader.
Now on to your final fic... JEN
So sorry, after my hubby left for work tonight, I fell asleep. I seem to be doing alot of that lately and life is just passing me by.
I loved this chapter. Maru got to read her letter, excellent. I'm glad he finally got to know just how she felt all these years. I also totally agree with Michael. Maru spends way too much time feeling sorry for himself because he isn't the perfectly, sexy guy is used to be. Vanity and arrogance often go hand in hand, I believe. It was difficult seeing Maru so self absorbed that he lost such precious time with Kagome and that led her to believe he didn't want her.
I just love the way this man talks too. He sounds all that of his anime character. No wonder she had to wonder exactly what he meant. If actions speak louder than words, than neither one was listening very well.
The proposal was so funny. Leave it to him to make four little words so difficult to ask. When they had difficulty over when and where to get married, I thought that maybe they could compromise and get married now by the chaplene and then have Kagome's dream wedding in a few weeks, but you come up with an alternative it seems Maru can live with.
Micheal showing up early that morning, then the old man who works there knowing her business, and then Yasha putting his two cents in, Kagome had quite an amusing morning...or should I have said embarrassing? It was very amusing to me!
Yasha was more helpful when the discussion over when and where to marry was, but it was too bad that Maru was just having his way. He definitely didn't have experience with woman and relationships, that was just too obvious. Alone again (in bed), naturally... I just knew he'd have to come to some kind of compromise or he wasn't going to be a happy and sated man until he listened to reason. He should have listened to his little brother,...AGAIN!!! Yasha keeps trying to help and he just gets shot down every time, poor guy.
So, yeah, this was great. Now on to the next chapter... JEN
WOW!! You actually had me crying throughout these last 2 chapters. Especiallly with the wedding speech and Kagome riding in on Maru's steed. So romantic! And I loved how you described Maru and his feelings and actions during the weeks before the wedding. This is definitely on my favorites list. You are a wonderful writer and you will be missed, but I'm glad your stories will still be here to re-read and enjoy over and over again. Which I plan on doing. Thanks again for sharing your gift with us, and hopefully, someday you'll return with a new story. I know I'll be patiently waiting, as will many others.
Good luck!
Another brilliant piece of work has come to an end. I think that this was my favorite story from you. I've loved all of the others so much but really, I think this one was by far my favorite. I loved how you described Maru's reactions to the week leading up to the wedding. From everything that I've read through this fic that would definitely be him lol. The ending was perfect as usual and I will be re-reading this one again in the future. Thank you for giving us this wonderful piece of fiction. Your work is truly exceptional and I could only hope to become half the writer that you are!
*sighs happily* So beautiful!!! I squeeled over the riding the stallion part. I'm sucker for good speeches in the wedding. Yours started so well, that it had to be beautiful wedding. ^^
Thank you. This story will definitely be on my "read as many times as you can" list. It's also one of the best stories ever, keeping my attention whole time, eager to read more and more. I think I've said it before, but there really aren't too many stories that I keep readin over and over again. You really are a Great Author. You have eternal fan.
All the best for you.
I just loved this! I, however, have to review this later on today or tonight as my husband is on his way home from work and will want this computer off and my attention on him. I have a habit of putting you before him...so, until later, my friend. JEN
Yay, we'll have wedding!!! You will write it, right? Please? *Puppy eyes*
And once again you've rendered me speechless even though I'd like to compliment you to heavens. *nods nods*
