oh my goodness. i... i just might cry. that was excellent the entire chapter, i loved it personally and whoever didn't can kiss my sessh/kag fic obsessive behind. i'm waiting anxiously for the epilogue, i know i'm gonna cry for that. update soon!!
I've just finished reading what you've written in Capital Offence and I'm more than a little sleepy having read it in two sittings. Sorry for the rambling.
I started reading this story and quickly was completely suckered in. It was plot driven (and what an interesting plot it's been so far) rather than sex driven but there was a hint of lemon enough to make things interesting. And the things you did to the characters while still basically keeping them in their manga characterization has been wonderful. The concept of the youkai inhibiting bands was a nice one, and I liked how you wove the feel of the entire city around it. Every time I had a question about them, you would, within a few chapters, explain them. I liked how you had the city so obviously divided, both physically by the bridge and socially by the bands and their socioeconomic effects.
Speaking of SE effects, I think that you did a wonderful job in the early chapters making the youkai downtroden but still proud. They fought in their own way for what they needed and wanted and they didn't ask or need handouts. Inu's jobs, Sess's legal troubles, and the reactions of their friends wove together in a lovely and rich spiral. It made the place seem real.
And I love the fact that you didn't resort to Inu bashing! For many authors the only way to have Kag and Sess together is to make Inu the bad guy. You've encorperated so many of the positives of the 'best friend' relationship between Kagome and Inuyasha that I normally love in Inu/Kag pieces without diminishing them, making them trite, or having Inu be a foil to Sess. You also allowed the relationship between Kagome and Sesshoumaru to be equally stong yet completely different from the one between I/Kag so that it didn't seem just like a friendship with benefits.
I did enjoy the benefits, too. :)
Even though every moment was not in character, many of the things you did with the characters (especially Sess, Shippou and Miroku) was wonderful, logical, and seemingly well thought out. I enjoyed the brother's early relationship. I enjoyed Sess's quiet strength in the face of the Department. I enjoyed the walks through their psyche while both Kagome and Sess thought the other was breaking things off. I enjoyed the sometimes chaotic POV when Sess thought he was losing his mind and then when he did. I enjoyed Inu's sometimes childlike reactions to the world. I enjoyed how you explained Kikyou's reactions and her shy, budding relationship with Inu. Oh and I loved Shippou.
Shippou is usually protrayed as a whining little brat and his relationship with Inuyasha is nothing but bickering. You allowed Shippou to be a productive and purposeful character while retaining his joi de vive. I think that you did a wonderful job of portraying him as a child that was forced to grow up far too soon.
I enjoyed your shishi character Sato. Just as powerful and complex in his own way as Sess, the character didn't become a mini-Sess. I enjoyed seeing a flash of his life, loves, and future desires.
I could go on, but I think that you get the point that I've really enjoyed this story so far and look forward to the future chapters. Thanks so much for writing it for all of us.
oh noooo! Only two more chapter!!!! T_T
Awesome chap though! Keep up the good work!

AAAAWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
:hugs tightly:
that about sats it all I need that fluff XD
great chapter
great update
:poke:
do it again UPDATE
i know one more chater then and Epilog
I will be sad to see this go but looking foward to you next one XD
I had a feeling that Sesshoumaru was going to hold that thought that he could have prevented their son's death. He's just that type of person. I'm glad Sato knew to call him on it and get him to realize that there was no way he could have predicted what could happen and that he was needed more outside where the enemy was.
I liked Kikyou's way of driving InuYasha out of his self pitying. The only other one who could have convinced him is Sesshoumaru but since he wasn't available, Kikyou was quite convincing...as long as she didn't look him in the eyes. That has got to be one of the best male ego boosters. She proved to him that she didn't see him as weak and pathetic or she wouldn't have mated him. Surely InuYasha will know that Kikyou would only have a male that is strong and able because she's a strong woman and miko who needs someone who is sure of who they are. It was a sneaky way to get him to realize this but the results was an amazing night of mating. And Kagome naievity was just so precious! She thought they were jusy discussing the problem when they were really "discussing" it. JEN
This has been an awesome serial; as with all the good ones, shame it has to end, but I'm sure you are ready for something different!
This alternate world has been quite interesting to 'visit' (as it were), and the story you spun about the Inu-gang has been gripping.
Congrats!
Awww, everyone is finally able to take a breath from what that psycho put them all through. I loved how InuYasha asked Kikyou to be his mate and while he was trying to explain the difference she cut him off with a resounding yes! She wasn't too overly eager now, was she? I believe she wanted to wait because otherwise InuYasha would be looking for an unoccupied room or linen closet, he was so ready.
I was starting to feel bad for Sato and was thinking that it would be nice if Aiya had a second job at the hospital where she and Sato could bump into one another, but, being a delivery replacement for the diner was good too! I really enjoyed the chase as much as they did. And I loved how he gave her no choice in his demand to claim her.
I'm even glad that Miroku is going to give Sango another chance. Sometimes second chances are better than throwing away years of love and devotion. It'll take time, but I think it's worth it for them and hopefully, Sango can get Kagome AND Sesshoumaru to understand too.
I honestly had forgotten about the gift Sessh had for Kagome when he first arrived. It sounded like it was very beautiful. We have a truck stop down the road from us that has a couple of places to eat and a rather large gift shop where they sell many handcrafted things done by people from around here and I could imagine it being a one of a kind handmade trinket box. It's so sad the one twin died but Sesshoumaru suggesting both their names being engraved WILL make that gift THAT much more special to Kagome.
I do hope Shippou had his pack he carries that has his video game player in it because that poor kit was left all by himself, seeing as everyone has taken up with the female of their choice! JEN

Haru (Chapter 79) - Sun 18 Apr 2010
While I like this story very much I will never understand the need of authors to pair every character with someone, it´s just corny and unrealistic.
