Hi guys!

I know you all love how confusing, buggy, and shitty our fanart gallery is, so I have some bad news...we're upgrading! After speaking with Wiccan and Skye, we decided it would be sweet if we had a gallery that actually allowed people to upload and enjoy fanart.

So, after an enormous amount of work, tonight is the night!

All of the fanart links are going to change! Don't kill me yet!

Don't worry, all of the images you've embedded elsewhere will still work. We're not going to delete the actual gallery in place. You just won't be able to tell it's there anymore. So, it'll still be able to render all your images.

Fanart link pages are going to change completely, but old ones will automatically redirect to new ones. When you try to link fanart, our old gallery will find out what the new link is and automatically redirect you.

So, at 1AM EST, 12AM CST, the Fanart area is going to go offline, and when it comes back, it'll be pretty and new. It may be 3-4 hours before it's back, because we have to manually import the more recent submissions.

Our old gallery thought it would be really funny, if, for a final foot up MissK's rear, it made multiple userids for certain people. So, if you see your comments showing up as anonymous, PM me.

What's New/Different:
-Let's see...you now have a favorite art tab also, so when you favorite things, other people will be able to see.

-Everything in the gallery is profile-linked, and if you click on an artist's name, it opens their profile and goes right to the fanart tab.

-Artists have a nice little space to talk about their work.

-Comments are vastly improved.

-The search function works like the fanfiction search box. Just put in a partial and it'll pull up any matches in title, name, or description.

-The mass user folders are gone. Fanart has been filed into several basic categories, with doujinshi series by themselves.

-Uploading and navigating are significantly easier.

The adult content filter you see on the various fanart pages (including profiles), controls whether what you see when you're browsing through thumbnails. If it's on, you'll see a thumbnail that says '18+,' but if it's off, you'll see the actual thumb. Your settings will be remembered until your cookie expires, you sign out, etc.,

Most of the images in the gallery that need to be flagged for adult content haven't yet, so there's still some uncensored stuff, but we're working on getting through that.

For some reason, comments aren't showing. They're there, just not...displayed. I'm working on it!

Thank you Miss Kagura and all the other wonderful people who gave their time and effort to the fanart upgrade. Sadly I will never post anything to this section. As an artist, I make a great ditch digger. *Sigh* I can't even draw stick figures with any accuracy. But I love to view the fanart and marvel at the awesome talent possessed by many here. It is now much easier to do so. And I love that I can now mark some as my favorites so I can easily go back and look at them again and again.

I know it will take a little time to work out any bugs that may plague the new system. I hope that everyone will be patient while this happens. Great things take time.

Thank you again for what you give of yourself to this site and the fans. Your administrative talents as well as your wonderful writing talents. You can never be appreciated enough. This is but my humble effort to make my appreciation known.

I found it!

Your art's id number is 8943, and the one that got mixed in was 8493, it should be gone momentarily.

I love what has been done to the fanart section -- looks great!

However, my login name doesn't show in the upper right hand corner of the page and I am unable to bookmark favorite artists, etc. Just wondering if this is not a feature of the new fanart or if my computer is screwing up again...

First of all, Rika-chan, the orphaned art has been sent to the correct home, and is happy to be back amongst its siblings.

Drianax - Glad you like how it looks. The login module should now be showing on all pages again.

With the new system, you can mark a favorite piece of fanart by clicking the gold star under the picture. Right now, we don't have favorite artists, only art, but we will probably be working that in eventually.

And comments are still MIA, but that should be resolved shortly.

I hate to be a bother, but... I'm pretty sure D.S Anno was the first to comment on my "Light" fanart, but he's coming up "unique". Is that a bug of some sort? I'm asking for my own sanity. I remember seeing something one day, only for it to disappear the next, leaving me to wonder if I imagined the whole thing to begin with.>_>

Anyway, thanks for bringing back the comments! They look gorgeous.

I'll get Anno's comment restored. Our old gallery made two different userid's for him, his art got scrambled like that also. I'll go sort it out.

I hope it's okay to put this problem here...

I have not uploaded art for a long time, so I might be doing something wrong. I was trying to upload a couple of pictures. One uploaded with little problem but I can't seem to get the other to load at all. It goes though as if it loaded but I don't see it anywhere. It's not on the home page and its not in my gallery.

Poor picture, perhaps it's lost in cyberspace somewhere. At any rate, please help!

Edit: Never mind, I think I figured out what the problem was!!
