I thought I was going to have to ask for help finding this fic, which I read quite a while ago, but I finally found it for myself on A Single Spark. The title is "Through the Mirror" and the author is Sidhe. Kagome is found freezing and unconscious by a demon, who takes her to a cave and gets intimate with her to save her life. The demon resembles Sesshomaru, but is also different, being, incredible though this may seem, even hotter. It turns out that Sess' mother was a European tiger demon given to Inupapa in a treaty. But this version of Inupapa was not the honorable ruler or father that we usually see him portrayed as. He resented Sesshomaru being born as a tiger demon, but since tigers are shape-shifters, he forced Sess to assume the form we know from the anime and manga. Inupapa used any opportunity to degrade and harm his son, and even killed Sess' newborn sister who was also born as a tiger demon. The inu clan used Sess' kind aunt as a hostage to assure Sess' compliance after his father's death, but upon her death he assumed his true form, and bonded with Kagome. His personality is playful and sweet, and he is more powerful than he had ever revealed in his inu-form. Instead of the warlord garb, he tends to dress in thigh-high leather boots that lace up the sides, leather pants, a linen shirt, and has tiger stripes. This may seem a bit much, but the author carries it off with extreme success! I remember thinking that Lord Sesshomaru often comes across as more feline than canine. This is an awesome and well-written story, but has not been completed. This should not be a huge problem, even for readers who normally refuse to read incomplete stories, since it is quite long (over 30 generous chapters) and leaves the reader feeling anticipation for further chapters rather than disapointment at the lack of an ending...

Oh I wish she would start writing again. I absolutely love everything by this author. She's a great talent and this story in particular is extremely good.

No worries, I'm just learning to use the computer as I go, it gets harder to learn new things as you get older, everything changes so fast and so often... by the time I learn something new, what I've learned is outmoded and done some other way. I'm really pleased any time I learn something new, so next time I post a recommendation, I'll try really hard to create a link... We'll see how well I do.

oh i fully agree i cannot wait until she updates, i am reading her story for the third time, a rarity for me, but it is that good.

i completely agree. I'm dying for her to update. I've read Progression like 5 times, and i'm sure i'll re-read it again soon. Hopefully she'll be back soon. I believe her last post stated she was sans computer. I'm tempted to start a fund raiser if it'll bring her back sooner.

Would anybody have happened to save what she did have for Through the Mirror? I only got to read up to chapter 5. T.T
