Welcome to the Weird Couple Challenge! Dokuga is a community dedicated to our beloved S/K pairing, but lately I find myself intrigued by secondary pairings in a story as well. Most people usually form Canon set pairings such as Miroku/Sango, Inuyasha/Kikyou e.t.c. I thought it would be fun if I motivated our lovely authors to create some weird and unusual pairings. No matter how outrageous a couple may seem at first, if the writer can make it work then it gets so much more interesting.

In lieu of that, I made a participant banner with a weird couple I have used in a one-shot – Inuyasha/Inumama – which you can grab after you post the link of your story here, but I will also make personalized banners with the couple you choose to pair up and the story title/author name after I read your story! Sounds fun, right? There are virtually no rules in regards to word count, time limit, or new/ongoing stories. The only rule is that you mustn't have formed the pairing prior to this challenge. Post the link of your story with the appropriate rating – if it’s M or MA – and let the challenge begin! WOO!

Also, do not forget that the main couple HAS to be S/K regardless of any other "weird" secondary pairings you wish to add in order to participate in this challenge.

Ah, I'm in! This sounds like a blast, my head is already spinning with ideas!!

There is no deadline for this challenge. Some people like a slow romance, others prefer a love at first sight romance. I decided against a time limit for this reason, so you have all the time in the world to develop your weird side couples.

I think this is perfect to add into my crack story! Question! Does the pairing already have to be written out when we give the link or can we link the story and tell you what the pairing will be but we haven't quite reached it yet?

I like surprises! I would prefer it if you post the link after you've written it out without telling me which characters will get involved.

P.S. Is there maybe a way to make the title smaller or to use part of it for the banner? I'll try to use all of it first and I'll tell you how it goes.

Give me an example? Like, my parents had a 14 years age difference and I think that's fine if that's what you meant.

Oh no. I'm now very tempted to do something in A Different Promise I hadn't thought about before, and it includes a crack pairing parallelogram that makes the InuKagKik triangle look tame.

This can only end in trauma and hilarity, I feel.

P.S. Since you mentioned triangles, yes, those are acceptable as well. Also, pairings of any gender, too. I do like spicing up my reading every once in a while.

I was going to ask about triangle relationships, glad this was clarified!
