I don't know if this is the correct place to post this, if it is not, my appologies. While I am wholey supportive of doing challengesin future seasonal challenges in regard to breast cancer awareness (my own aunt fought this diesease 4times) I think it may be an opportunity to work other awarness or illnesses. It could be support for HIV, child luekemia, type one diabetes, often called juvenile diabetes as it usually manifests in childhood. In fact, november has been issued diabetes awareness month and while it is too late to do something in the form of a challenge, I think it may be a good idea to use in future seasonal and momthly challenges. Just a thought.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and as many of us here are women, we thought we'd bring awareness to Dokuga through a variety of activities. One of these is a fanart/fanfic challenge titled Think Pink

The challenge is simple. You have one prompt to work with - PINK

You can reference the colour, write using it as a prompt, whatever you'd like. Despite it being the colour of Breast Cancer awareness, your fic doesn't need to have anything to do with Breast Cancer. Just Pink!

I've always said I'm a reader more than a writer... not that I can't write but I'm just extremely slow at it.

So here I am, listening to music as I went to refresh stories by clicking the Fanfiction tab and hit the Forum tab. Saw the Pink challenge and was like "hey I just read something from that earlier" and clicked on it to find what I read. And suddenly Aerosmith's Pink starts playing.

Nah I don't believe in fate at all... *scoffs*

Might be a little late from the origination of the challenge... but hey, can never have enough awareness reminders! My family has a history of Breast Cancer so it's something really near and dear to MY heart! Check your boobies ladies! Hell, let the guys check em too! Trust me they won't turn down the offer!
