Kagome finally becomes a J-pop star (or just a star in general) and obviously stars need bodyguards. Who else would Touga trust with his newest and biggest investment to his label company? His son, who hasn't been interested in dating due to the dangers of his job and cuz yknow its Sesshomaru.

At some point Naraku convinces Kagome to go on a date with him (probably tells sesshy to calm down and that "not everyone in the music industry is bad") and Sesshy jumps in to save her.
