Hey folks!

I'm coming here today b/c of Dokuga awards arts. I'm finding that this quarter it seems a bit harder to find works of art that fit the needed criteria to use as the background for our lovely awards. First I'll tell you the things i looked for as the awards admin:

1. Permission. I'll never use artwork from anyone without there okay. The only small chance i might is if an artist outside of Dokuga is nominated for something, and Wins, and some how was not made aware of the fact, and even then their art would only be used on their winning placement.

2. Works with BOTH Sesshomaru and Kagome. While i like individual sess and kags, it's usually better to have them both in the image.

3. Full finished work, meaning there's no white on the sides of a main character. Even if there's only a single person there, That image with color will be far easier for me to use then if it's just blank white. I try to leave the original image alone as much as i can to let the art stand for itself. Artworks were there's white all over, "unfinished" to that degree is harder to work with b/c everything jsut seems Added, rather then working with. I'll use a finished work with JUST sess or Kags over both in the pic and having an unfinished background.

4. Newer works. I can go back a few years and pull all sorts of older works, but it has been my goal since i became awards admin never to use the same image twice unless i was forced to. This goal was mainly bc i wanted winners to feel that their awards were unique and not re-hashed.

5. Works that work with the award. Meaning if your art work is amazingly beautiful but it's got a drama feel to it, i won't be wanting to use it for Humor awards. Or if it's a Chibi art, pretty or not, and it doesnt feel like a drama i wont be using it then either.

OKay! Now that thats all out there, the reason for me posting this was to ask artist if they would want to say "yes, you can use my work in banners." I have a list of people that i can pull from, but most of them have somewhat moved on artwise to other things, or simply havent made anything that will work for Dokuga's needs. I went searching through things i had saved as favorites here in the last 3 months and didnt see very many that would be useable without it being the same artist i've been using for a while, and i like to mix it up so that you don't always see the same style/artist all the time. I've always wanted this to be fair in that anyone that makes something pretty can have their worked used for banners if they allowed it.

So, I'm asking, Will you give me the okay to use your artwork Dokuga?

Not that I presume that I my art is worthy to be made into a banner, but you can use it whenever.

I've been curious where the pretty banners were Well Roo if there is anything that you can use of mine please go ahead. I'm working on better coloring digitally - when I'm done my next batch of digital art I'll message you and if they're up to standard please feel free to you use them. Also, have you asked Lady Shieru or YoukaiYume, both huge SxK artists/supporters, for the use of their art? Also, you can try the SessxJag devianart page, go through art there, and ask the artists for their permission to use the selected works for the awards since I know the honor of being awarded by the Dokuga community as an Author(ess) is remarkable and beautiful to many of us and we take pride in being able to display such an honor with the banners. Please MSG me if you have any concerns, questions or ideas you'd like to bounce or discuss with me.

i have a large list of people i can use but most havent made new SK art in a long time, and i dont like the idea of re-hashing older art, i may have to though just so that i can make the awards, I havent made them yet if your wondering, IRL picked up and i have a bit more time to fuss with this this go so i plan to do them right ^_^

As always, you can use anything of mine you want. There's a lot of nice things on DA ;]
