So I don't know if anyone's already posted this, but Viz is simultaneously releasing the English version of Takahashi-san's new manga "Rin-ne" with its Japanese counterpart.

r0o, you're right. they DO look like inuyasha cosplay. Rinne acts just like Inuyasha. And Sakura looks almost exactly like Kagome with her hair unbraided. I like the manga so far. Off to read more.  |

They do look just like them. Rinne's grandfather looks a bit like Miroku too. I am throughly enjoying this manga.

Honestly, all her manga characters look the same to me. Since Inuyasha was my first foray into her manga, I can't help but see all the IY characters in cosplay in her other series. But, especially with this manga, I just see potential IY crossovers... the grandpa/Miroku connection, Sakura looking, to me, like an older Rin, the main guy's name being Rin-ne, his red hair/red eyes (a little Fox, a little Wind Demon... with NO IDEA how that came together), etc.
Someone needs to draw Shippo in a Rokumon costume, stat!

I think any good crossover fics between Rin-ne and IY would be quite an interesting read - or write, actually! xD But still, looking forward to seeing where she goes with the manga once the plot really gets going. ^^

that's why sometimes i don't like reading her work. the faces are the same as her other manga works that i get terribly distracted when i read her work.
