As for Kura.....Sesshomaru's promise covered only her previous attempts on Kagome's life. At this point I am not sure even Ryou can save Kura from Sesshomaru's wrath. And to be honest I am not sure why she should be saved. Plenty of youkai and ningen that have done what they wanted and hurt others (or killed them) in the process were killed either by Naraku or the Inutachi.

This was an interesting chapter. The keyword here is 'trust'. Neither Sesshomaru or Kagome trust one another implicitly. If they would just share information or thoughts with each other, then they could accomplish a lot and save each other heartache and headaches.
