I've recently discovered your work through another favorite of mine and read you dry, then followed you to Dokuga. I look forward to more of your work. I enjoy how Kagome and Sesshoumaru have been drawn together inexorably against their will, without sappy contrived plot devices. It's good to see the agonizing character growth for both of them that will leave them scared, but more mature and at peace with themselves within their own skins. You've handled this story so well. I look forward to Kagome finally living up to her nature and Sesshoumaru realizing that he is a diayoukai.

Okay...I'm good, I can type this review now. Wow! I knew you'd keep to your word about dark coming this way, but I didn't expect so much so soon! I think I had a bit of an overload here. Damn...Inuyasha is dead. Well, I can't say I'm sad per se...hmm...I think I'll copy Sesshomaru and...frown. I actually dunno how to feel about it, but he did make amends even though they were...useless. Death makes everything useless...even regrets, even apologies. Nothing can be forgiven or forgotten just because someone dies - quite the opposite actually. Bah, Inuyasha, you idiot... Up in flames you went and left behind only ashes.

And that battle...seems like all hell broke lose! You know, I dun blame Miroku for his behavior, actually, I respect him. Shippo is just young...though, I think not as young as others like to believe. Dun ask me why, I always thought he took advantage of his young appearance to be a child forever when in reality he's lived long enough to know better. Still, he gets a free pass this time, just because. The one who irks me is Sango for some reason...I mean, she's so absorbed in her misery - with reason of course - but she becomes a hypocrite. People were given voice to speak, ya know? Meh, I just dun like people who make themselves the victims just because they can due to circumstances.

Now that I be done with the side characters...Kagome!! Dear god, woman...'tis like life as she knew it ended in a mere blink of an eye. She paid a huge price, and for what? For the indiscretions of others, not even her own... I mean...damn! And, still, she tries to make things right, to help in whatever way she can, to fix things broken long before she came into the mix. Unfortunately for her, she came to stay...what a weight to carry alone. I wonder, though, how does she really feel about the deal she's about to make? Yeah, she's pent, she wants him, she knows nobody else will do now, but how does she really feel?

Sesshomaru...dun do that to me! Gods, why must you make him so...so damn...I dun think there's a word for it. I only know that he makes me wanna cuss him just because he can't be real. Yesyes, he's unreal! There, found the word! Such men just dun exist...I'm so looking forward to his POV - like you wouldn't believe!!

Phew...I think I'm done, in terms of plot at least. Your word choice was excellent here, but what I loved most was the execution of the scenes, the emotional charge. It was so well put into words, amazing! How Kagome felt about Inuyasha, about his death, her own guilt...sublime! Then there was Miroku's portrayal which was hauntingly beautiful! I looove him, I freakin' love what you did with him! The last scene...wow...my knees went weak when your words became images in my mind! Fantastic! You have a way to make Sesshomaru so expressive with...well, minimum expressions. Furthermore, he be hot when he burns, and he burns. He might be dipped in ice, but whatever he feels, whether anger or lust or bitterness, is like fire sizzling quietly beaneath - until he lets it all out. I think dear Kagome will be burned alive in this fic... Well, I dunno about her, but it doesn't sound like a bad way to go...to me at least. XD
