I'm kind of curious as to why Sess and the rest of the gang are so adamantly opposed to Kagome actually killing her rapist...is this just a question of them being concerned that she might be arrested b/c she killed someone (in which case, I question whether she would actually be caught; she seems to much of a pro to let that happen) or is it more a concern for Kagome's own mental state and her reaction to having killed/tortured a person? I just can't really picture any of the characters in your story (including Kagome as she's portrayed in this story, as opposed to the manga/anime) being particularly averse to exacting revenge in the form of killing a brutal rapist. I'm imagine they've had to deal with the potential that the people they're contracted to find might eventually be punished/killed, so it strikes me as odd that everyone is so concerned about preventing her from killing this guy.
Also, Kag is a bit of a drama queen hmmm? She always seems to run away from Sess whenever she thinks there's a problem. Poor Sess! It's like a reversal of the stereotypical gender rolls...Sess wants to talk about his feelings and Kag just wants to avoid all discussion!
| You know, I was musing just as I finished reading this chapter... You ARE kind of cruel, aren't you? Deep down I hope they'll work things out, but everytime you update I get this feeling that they won't... I'm so anxious about this fic! If I could, I'd wait until you complete it, then read it all at once, but you've made it addictive, I find myself checking several times a day for an update, and when you haven't yet, I keep reading the previous chapters.
PLease, take this review as a compliment, but I kind of wanted some sugar, you know? A bit romance without the trauma stuff... Maybe a nice memory, I don't know... It's just getting so hurtfull for both of them...

| Looks like things are finally moving ahead. You have such a good grasp on all this. It's so real life that I can see it actually happening. I believe two level headed adults that truly love each other can have a strong healthy relationship without sex. It happened in my life when my disabilities became too painful to enjoy sex but that never stopped the intimacy we shared by kissing, holding, cuddling, etc. True love lives through the greatest of trials. And the right time will present itself for Kagome and Sesshoumaru, I am sure and she will not even flinch when it does. I can't wait to see it happen for them as she has yet to experience true love's gift. JEN
