Back here nitpicking about go again... Good quality goban (and I don't doubt Kotono would have the best) had (and still have) legs. They are a thick wood plate on ornates legs so that the players can enjoy their game wherever they want without having to carry a table on top of carrying the goban. The stones (I supppose the whites would be mades from seashells and the black from slate) are kept in wooden "bowls" for easy reach and the cover of the bowls, looking a little like plates are used to pou the stones you captured. Black always begin. Between opponents of different strenght, it's customary, for the game to remain interesting, to give the stronger player a handicap in letting the weaker one having a headstart on the battle: he put down, wherever he choose, from one to nine stones depending of the difference in levels. But I don't know when the handicap stones started to be uses so I wouldn't include them in a story so early in time.
Oh and they put HAIRsticks in their hair, chopsticks are for eating, and even if expensives ones are lackered ans painted with beautiful design, the surface stay smooth for easy handling and noone in they right mind would put them in their hair. Those you described are undoubtedly beautifully adorned hairsticks.
...well I'm back to the story, I'm dying to read what happens next! And since I'm not able to say what is perfect in a story and what hook me so, well, I'm stuck playing the bad girl pointing only what could get better. Sorry! I DO enjoy this story immensely.
Tomoe (Chapter 4) - Wed 09 Nov 2011
I've just discovered this story and trying very hard not to neglect all my tasks to read it in one go. You write very well, I'm drawn to the story and your characters are realistically depicted.
But the game of go left me uneasy. It didn't sound like the game played in all asia at the time. In real Go, the one you still see in tournaments, you don't pass until you actually end the game as each moves are made trying to get one step ahead of your adversary play to try and secure or capture a territory. Willingly giving up even a turn means a lot of territory lost. You only pass when you know you have won and the adversary will have to pass also, thus ending the game. Also it sounded as if they were counting the captured stones for score. At the end of the game, you put the stone you captured back onto your opponent's territory to lessen it and your score is the actual empty territories you have secured.
Now i'm not triyng to complain, it's a small detail that don't take anything from the enjoyment of that story, I just can't help but want to correct small backgrounds mistakes, insignificants as they may seem, because I know that research for accuracy when one is writing of another country and culture is so time consuming and i personally like to get corrections for future use.
Thank you for that story, please go on writing it (that one and Sincerely Serendipitous too!)
Brookie (Chapter 20) - Thu 03 Nov 2011
Lovin your stuff! Can't wait for an update =D
Uhm this story is like god. haah
cant wait for more. keep up the good work.
I must applaud your story! I am thoroughly in love with your characterizations. I feel that your story treads the balance between enough detail and remaining true to the plot without frivilous deviations. I can't express enough, how much I am thankful for writers such as yourself who obviously put much time and effort into their stories. Thank you so much for writing and I cannot wait for another chapter!!! I will be waiting anxiously!
Reader in Disguise (Chapter 19) - Fri 09 Sep 2011
Ok, we admit, YOU ARE MAHVELOUS darling! Great chapter and an even better sex scene. Can hardly wait till next chapter. Have fun while on vacation and come back safe to all of us!
Treece (Chapter 20) - Fri 09 Sep 2011
I found myself sighing a little when this ended. It's a chapter with trickles of foreshadowing and mystery. I wonder what the unsavory rumors are? And the ceremonies. Again, I'm always delighted with the descriptions; vivid, rich and entrancing enough to see everything. I liked the unexpected suprised of Sesshoumaru's mother. That was a nice touch! She would want to see how he fared as well! Kagome is a miko after all (not that she would doubt his power but still, it's her only chick--or pup! ha!).
Ienjoyed this. Have a fun, safe vacation. Looking forward to the next update (when you can).
Congrats on the award :-)
No questions here. I am just waiting, patiently. Have a nice vacation! You deserve it! Now, as for the story. The story flows so nicely, things happen one small step at a time and I really like how it builds up to the point where it is now. Also, I find Kagome and Sesshomaru to be very IC which is another thing that I enjoy immensely in fanfictions.
Thanks or writing!
Jenna (Chapter 20) - Thu 08 Sep 2011
I like this. I don't think that I've read many stories where Kagome has serious thought about losing her virginity, it's usually just a general, "That was amazing! Let's go again!" type of thing. I appriciate the thought that goes into your plotline, it's a more consuming read because of that!
Irihi-chan (Chapter 6) - Thu 08 Sep 2011
This fanfic literally warm my heart and heals my soul. <3 Keep it up!
Asuna (Chapter 19) - Tue 06 Sep 2011
So fucking amazing.
The BEST lemon I've ever read. Real talk.
And not just because I was eating a hot apple pie with vanilla ice cream on top, can't you just imagine eating that delicious pie while reading the erotic scene how Sesshomaru feeds the peaches to Kagome. So hot ;P
