Wow so many updates recently! I am trying to catch up :)
So Minoru wants to ensure Kagome will grow up to be someone of worth? That's very nice of him, almost too nice. He's a sneaky one so it makes me wonder what he has got on his mind :)
The line about floral patterns had me about near choking on laughter.
You laid this chapter out in a way that was surprisingly easy to follow, though I now fear for everyone's safety, good job!
I love doing that style of writing too! And Sesshoumaru's last line positively gave me shivers because of how much that little sentence conveyed his feelings. Another great one!
I am enjoying this story so much and I love the way you did the homecomings.
I can't wait to see what Rin thinks of the future and how she adapts. Im also anticipating Sesshoumaru's reaction when he realizes that Rin is no longer there. Where would he even go first after he's done tearing apart the castle...guess we'll see. i can't wait to see what happens next :)
Ha! Way to get her moving, Minoru!
Update soon, naq, and if you ever need a quick prompt, let me know!

That bit with the floral theme had me cracking a bit XD And stating that the idea that the well was created by someone? That was pure genius my dear!
Haha, I loved this. :)
I quite like how Kagome handled the situation there. Except now I'm wondering how you'll get her to keep her promise of Rin being able to see Sesshoumaru when she wants. Fantastic work!
Aha! A nice breakaway from poor Rin's trauma-inflicted childhood. Kagome's concern for Rin is touching, though ill-conceived; I had considered from the first mention of Rin's passing through the well that this would be a sure-fire way to make sure Rin was safe AND that Kagome and Sesshomaru were forced into contact. As Minoru so aptly recognizes, Kagome is overcome by her emotion in the face of good sense; there is nothing preventing Rin from returning to the past as long as Kagome is willing to allow her transit. Indeed, the fact of her guardianship means that it is likely Rin will be able to pass through the well without Kagome's physical presence; the legal and emotional connection may be enough by itself.
Looking forward, I'm eager to see how soon Minoru intends Kagome to bring Rin to the future; now that they have moved past the greater portion of the logistics, what is left is either the journey itself, or a confrontation with Sesshomaru. At this point, however, I think Sesshomaru's presence would be detrimental. He's unlikely to *allow* Kagome to bring Rin to the future at this early juncture; far better if she is already there and he is forced to deal with a reality that he cannot change until Kagome chooses to change it.
I'd be interested to see Sesshomaru's reaction when he comes home and finds out that she's gone, as well as what possible excuse Ayumu might have thought up to try to save both his hide and Minoru's. Also interesting would be the conversation that Kagome should probably have with her mother...before she shows up with an abused and neglected orphan child who is the warden of a Daiyoukai out of the distant past...
Painful, but beautiful; a little bit at a time, Minoru and Rin reveal themselves to us in tandem. Rin's clear memory of the time she spent with her family before she became an orphan is interesting; it reveals that she has never had an easy or even a normal life. Even when she was with her parents she was poor, in danger; the difference for her that was caused by their loss seems to be, not a change in her physical condititon, but a change in the conditions of her heart.
The more tender and agonizing part of this chapter is of course Minoru's explanation; that he is forced to ruin her child's illusion that all is well - that Sesshomaru is all powerful, unreachable, incorruptible in his perfection as her guardian and savior. He is youkai and strong, but not yet strong enough to change the minds of those who must follow him; poor Rin is being slapped in the face with the vulgar reality of prejudice, and all she understands is the pain that is the result. Rin wants life; she fears death. But she fears also being taken away from the one light that has altered her darkness.
Well done!
Oh - and the last three lines? Utter perfection :D
Kagome seems to be wise and yet at the same time a bit foolish. It seems they all are still young and yet have to deal with somuch in one way or another. Although it seems Kagome hadbeen thrown to the wolves with this whole setting up visiting times. Hopefully everything works out for everbody. I can't wait to see what happens next :)
Positively enjoyable read and some really great and quotable lines to boot! Rin seriously needs a hug, though.

*begins balling like three year old*
Naq, this is, as always, well written.
*skulks off to sniffle*
Beautifully handled situation.
Poor Rin! My heart breaks for her, but I still have to applaud you for the way you wrote these past two chapters. Miseries aside, these installments were wonderfully written, the emotions and fears of little Rin coming across perfectly.
I'll be looking forward to your next chapter!
I had decided why not lets read the story. And I must say it is quite enjoyable. All the emotion that you put into everybody is wonderful. All of the pov from Rin are interesting as well and almost tragic. Keep it up though. I now have to wait for whats next just like everybody else :( but I can't wait for Kagome and Sesshoumaru to meet up and to see how this adds to the already colorful opinion he has of her and if Rin accepts the one trade of saftey for the other (that she will get in the future). I can't wait to see what happens next :)
Poor Rin! Poor Naq!! Poor Kags trying to get through that shell. *sniffle* *sigh* Well, I s'pose it was finally time to tell the story from Rin's perspective, but still... is sad making. :( You did it well, though, even if it was somewhat traumatizing in the process. Now on to healing things? Yesh?? Or, maybe 'Sesshoumaru-taking-apart' things??? ;) Methinks that would be a good way to break the melancholy!
;D
~~me~~
oh no, looks like this is not gonna be at all good for Rin...
