OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
I just knew she'd get one tough inquiry board. They had their minds made up before they even questioned her, I'm sure. The two who were just doing their job would easily be convinced. It's good that someone was out there watching out for her. It sounds like Kagura is as tough a character in this as she is in the manga. Good, Kagome is going to need a strong, experienced council.
Hearing Kagome recite the events that happened to them that day was heartwrenching. You are very good at conveying the facts and making us feel the emotions. I could feel the tension, apprehension, the anger and the painful loss at watching each of your comrade/family being brutally murdered before your eyes, and the man that you respect and serve: your lover die while you are being kept alive for who knows why. I could almost visualise it all and my heart hurts, the tears are hot... You've done a more than excellent job conveying Kagome's memories of that day.
Kagome may not want to admit she had her Captain's baby, but those medical reports will show that she did in fact have a child at some point. Knowing from her service records that she had never given birth before being enlisted under Captain Yomiuri, Kagome will have to say something about that. Whose to say she wasn't raped and then gave birth? But this will be up to her to decide. I'm wondering just how much they (Kagura, Yasha, maybe the military division they work under) know that Kagome doesn't know about what was in those journal entries. It's hard to believe Maru would impress the need to not leave any incriminating evidence and then leave an encryed journal and pictures. He surely must have loved her a great deal to go against his own rule like that.
I'm so intrigued now. This sounds as if it going to be a truly amazing (for the lack of a better word) story. It's a good thing you update so frequently because I'm so excited for more! JEN
Tisha (Chapter 4) - Mon 19 Jul 2010
this is very good!
Wow, I'm amazed. To find a survivor of an elite military group that was so tragically murdered and she's locked up like she's a criminal and treated like she's a traitor to those she vowed her life to protect. What an injustice! I can fully understand the need for protocol but being left alone in a cell for three days... I know it was more like a vacation after what Kagome has been through all these years but still...
I am glad that there's at least a few other people so far that believes in her. It doesn't sound to good for her if the superiors don't believe her story. I feel like this isn't going to go her way for some reason. JEN
Interesting is a flawed word for this... yet it's too deep for something flippant like awesome. Intriguing is good, but doesn't convey how interested in the storyline I am. I rarely dream of what I read, but I have of this. Your handling of the subject matter is very well done and I love the depth you've given to it. I've even recced it to a canon shipper.
Thank you for the frequent updates! I look forward to the ride you are taking us on this time.
Wonderful story so far! Can't wait to see how the interrogation goes for Kagome. Update soon please! :)
:(
Poor Kags... inquiry. Even I am scared.
poor kagome... I feel what's coming next won't be pretty for her. But very well written! Till next time
:)
This is so stressing... but I like the way you write very much. Simple and easy to read, but with a heavy emotions that keep you here always
Ok, Shippou was able to get her out of there and he didn't even have to ask for her to be used as a bargaining chip. Very good inded but what lies ahead when she has to be interrogated? That part bothers me as much as it does Kagome.
You didn't say what time period this is in. Certain references have given me cause to wonder, so I thought I'd ask. Anyway, at least she's out of there. I just hope she didn't get released from one prison to be put into another before she can have a chance to find her little girl. There may be going to be difficulty if Rin wasn't allowed to keep her name; if they sold her to another family. It would be heartbreaking if Kagome lost her only piece of her Captain and lover.
I'm wondering if maybe it might have been possible if when the cretins that slaughtered Kagome's company maybe left a very critically wounded Captain Maru Yomiuri left behind to die, only he somehow lived?? Until later... JEN
Oh Please (Chapter 2) - Sat 17 Jul 2010
Wow, I really like this story and the way you've written it. You jumped us right into the middle of the action and used her thoughts to explain how she ended up there.
I bet the "inquisition" she'll have to face will be brutal.
I hope you update soon since I'll be eagerly awaiting more.
tiana (Chapter 2) - Sat 17 Jul 2010

TruGemini (Chapter 2) - Sat 17 Jul 2010
Finally she's free! I'm sure she's going to face something similar to the Spanish Inquisition when she gets to her home location. I wonder who betrayed who and why? Keep up the great work!
