it is so very rare that i actually want to reach into my computer screen and snatch the hell out of a character, you've really done one heck of a job with Dave. I really really hope Sess tears the mess outta him and i hope you dont spare one single gorey detail of him getting his entrails ripped out and then promptly being hung by them.

This is such a great story. The last chapter was hard to read. Poor Kagome! I almost...never mind I cant wait for them to catch the creep that did this. I have my little list of suspects....But I will wait until the story has been completed to see if one of my two choose was right. Can't wait for the next chapter. Update soon

Hmmm...right now there are tears begging to fall and a lump in my throat. I knew you were planning something big but...oh my, Kagome...just as she was doing what she does best, this happens. She loves to give the gift of happiness to everyone she meets. This whole holiday was to be so special for her, and Sessh, only to have some slime...I'm so...dang, I get too invovled in these things. It's not like it's real, but, they are real in a way to me, you know? You create such believable stories. Has Sessh even seen her yet? I mean you didn't write that scene. It would make sense if he felt he couldn't just yet but now that his crew knows he was involved with her he doesn't have to hide his emotions..I can just see how Dave is going to have a field day with this. Isn't just a little too convenient that the attack occured just outside surveillance camera's range? The attacker knew the loading dock area well to know he wouldn't be seen. Could it have been the man that wouldn't help because " it wasn't in his contract"? To me, that would be too obvious and Paul would remember seeing him and the guy smirking back at them. I'd like to think it was Dave because since he would be a likely suspect from my stand point, no one would believe he had the guts to to do something like that seeing as he works for a CSI lab. Anyway, I'm looking forward to your creation of this crime investigation. JEN

I loved Kagomes "employee evaluation". And I hate "Dave". Haven't we all had to work with some j***a** just like him at some time or other? God knows I have. I was happy to hear today that the worst one I ever had to work with was just fired for embezzlling. Triumph and vindication are so, so sweet! But you left us with a cliffhanger. I'm really worried about what is coming up next. Good! I love suspense! This was the best chapter ever...

Kagura and InuYasha both hit on the very same principle. The booty call can only last for so long. I, too, understood that when I suggested it but I was under the impression that he was falling in love with her. I mean for a while having sex in secret is fun and the hiding it from people is a thrill(I know because it happened with me and my husband). As the thrill wears off and he has fallen in love(he was my first too & I KNEW that I loved him) then things need to be addressed because as Kagura said you'll want to leave the house some time. With Sesshoumaru still not knowing how he feels though, he's actually hurting Kagome without realizing it. He really needs to get his head together and figure out what is most important to him and Kagome needs to do the same. I'm sure as long as he will be with her she'll keep doing it in secret but it will begin to make her wish for the "happy ending". I can honestly relate to what they are going through. It's going to be a hard decision for one of them to make or they'll have to go to Kurt, tell him they are interested in each other and have him put them on different shifts. That's how it worked years ago. Kurt is related to Kagome and he and she work there...so, yeah, can that work out? The whole Atlanta thing doesn't have to come out because that is honestly no one's business. They both had an attraction to each other before that trip. Hey, Lady O? Are you tired of my ramblings on each and every fic you write? Oh, I also loved that Kagura gave them a little get a way. I like how she's portrayed here. She has no other ulterior motives and she likes Kagome. She even gave Sessh a reprimand for not considering her emotions in the long run. I'm just glad my husband was in love with me and we were able to figure a way to be together and marry. I know I wouldn't want to know the feeling of breaking up or finding out that he doesn't love ME, he loves the sex..and she can have an intellent conversation with him that most women he's known lack. As seems to be the case with the big, handsome, intelligent alpha males in real life, Sess may be all that, but he is still not any girls dream man, BY A LONG SHOT. And that's a good thing. It's realistic, and it creates conflict. Great writing!

This is sooo interesting. You really have me going about Sess, Inuyasha, and Kagura's pasts and heritage. I don't think I have ever read a story set in modern times that took this angle, and I am really into it. For some reason, it fits the rest of the story really well. You are juggling a lot of elements, and it makes the story really complex and rich. As for Sess and Kagome's relationship, I keep looking at it from one point of view (she gets to make out with Sess, who is all that, and more than human as well, thus no doubt the best lover she could possibly find), and then thinking that Sess is not really treating her very well. Kagome, who managed to hang on to her virginity to such a grand age, and is an educated, self-supporting woman with her own life, definitely does not deserve to be treated like a pain in the a** groupie. And Kagura, even though she is not a romantic interest, complicates this aspect of the story. She's an attractive woman who Sess speaks to privately, who knows more about him than anyone else. Even if Kagome understands that Kagura and Sess were never together, the fact that Kagura is a trusted confidant, while Kagome is being treated like an unimportant little toy could be a little difficult to swallow. I know that, alone in the middle of the night, it would bother me...

The suspense is killing me. Good thing you update so fast...

OMG i love your stories sooooooo much, and i was going to wait for you to finish this one before reading the completed edit, but i just couldn't wait!!!! So i've read chapters 1-12, and surprise surprise 'I LOVE IT'!!!LoL I like the whole CSI thing going on, and Inu being the 'Rock Star' and Kags being the bosses niece and..... everything!!! And the thing with Kags and Sess is just, ya know, interesting, frustrating and a whole lot of hotness!!! But i can see that damn Dave guy continuing to be a complete ass and what's up with Kagura? Hmmmm..... guess ill have to wait for the update..DAMN!!LoL!! Keep up the excellent work!!

oh my, my, my...doing the naughty in the parking lot...um hmm, bet that was fun! Oh the memories, but for me, we preferred corn fields on the back roads with very few houses and in an old station wagon...oops, sorry, I got caught up in the whole doing the naughty any place but behind closed doors. Such wicked fun...so, I gather then that Sessh and InuYasha believe that they have just odd family traits? I'm glad InuYasha isn't into the whole freakish side to what he represents but it sounds like maybe his band members may be...I've watched documentaries on that life style, freakish isn't the only word I'd use to describe that stuff...I honestly think if Sesshoumaru would loosen up a bit he could think of many ways to keep a hidden relationship with Kags without getting caught. People only get nosy when you give them reason to. Even Dave didn't do anything until those pics showed up and he let his perverted mind go wild. I'm sure if you're smart about it and your desire to be together is strong enough, you can find a way not to get caught. They are investigaters after all...I know I wouldn't let anything stop me from having my lover, even if it's just for little trists now and again. But, that's me...I want what I want and if there's a will, there's a way. Ta! JEN

Why is it every time a girl is held by a guy who not her husband or boyfriend the first thought has to be sexual? And not all older men are 'dirty old men'. Oh and InuYasha tells Sesshoumaru to embrace his heritage, does he know that they are inuyoukai? Or is he just calling himself that as a front name? Their father really should have thought better about keeping their backgound a secret. He isn't doing Sesshoumaru any favors. InuYasha could have been hurt badly or killed if Sesshoumaru wasn't a more controlled person or is that what Father depending on so he doesn't have to tell his sons the truth? I don't believe I've ever read a fic where they were raised as 'normal' humans. Hmm, I like the concept. JEN

I really like the way you are portraying Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. You usually write Inuyasha as a nice, brotherly character. I like the way you are portraying him as a pig. But a very believable one (I actually know a guy just like Inuyasha in this story). It makes an interesting change. And I like Sess as a more... estranged brother, and a more repressed, controlled, tidy and methodical character. The contrast between the two brothers adds a whole other dimension of interest for the story.

Well, at least now he knows how hot her temper runs. I have a feeling having InuYasha as a house guest is not going to be ideal. Having him anywhere near voice range of people can cause potential hazards, like letting someone hear Sessh has a thing for his lab techie or maybe Sessh should bed that hot little thing at his lab again. For some reason, I just wish Sesshoumaru would have stuck to his cold, unfeeling ways and tell his brother to sleep on the bus...I enjoyed the little inuendo about her muffin he ate...yeah,lol, he did like it...ALOT.
