Hi everyone, my name is kay. Well i just want to say that ya the first part seems boring and that your like i really don't want to read this, but i promise you that it gets better you just have to keep going. Now i will tell you my story will get alittle confusing but it will be sorted out. Also this is a sesshoumaru and kagome fic. i promise you that they will get together but to me relationships take time you don't just willy nilly fall head over heals for someone, it takes time, and in the later chapters i explain that he started liking her way before he tells her. Honesty, loyalty, and personality are what i believe create a good relationship. So those of you who are willing to go through the whole process with me Thank you and i promise this story will be a rollercoast that you will have fun with.

"INUYASHA...SIT BOY," Kagome said angrily.

"Wait, Kagome, I..."

"SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT BOY!!!!

"...Why are you doing this Kagome? I didn't do anything to you." The half-demon said, infuriated with the current events.

"You're such a idiot Inuyasha," Kagome seethed before she walked out of the clearing; with Sango following close behind her.

"You are so going to regret what you did, mock my words Kagome you're going to regret it." In all actuality, she wasn't, but it really didn't matter to the half demon at the moment for he had just been sat repeatedly and none too kindly either.

"Yah, yah, Inuyasha, I'm sure I will," Kagome said a bit sarcastically as she turned towards Sango and began the trek out of the small clearing that they were camping in for that night.

"You know you're not going to see the last of this," Sango said with a sigh as she eyed her best friend.

"Yah, yah, I am sure I can take anything he dishes out at me," Kagome replied bitterly, "that idiot" She acknowledged to her companion.

The two walked silently as Kagome still seemed to be fuming over what had only occurred a couple of minutes prior. Sango was anxious to speak to her friend but found it difficult, for she didn't know how to start the conversation anyhow. Not thinking about much else Sango kept her mouth shut as she figured out a way to word a conversation that wouldn't make the little miko even more upset then she already was. What seemed to be five minutes pass and they finally arrived at their destination.

"This is excellent Kagome! What do you think?" was Sango's eager but yet playful reply. Clasping her hands together she turned back and forth between the hot spring and Kagome. She squealed on the spot, her movements emphasizing her excitement.

"I think its gorgeous Sango," Kagome grinned but was unable to hide her mirth as she became more and more distracted by a sensation that felt like a hot breath on the back of her neck.

The spring was a remarkable sight to behold, it looked so serene and tranquil, as well as being beautiful and relaxing. The trees that surrounded the area acted like a privacy fence while the vines and moss that grew on the outside of the trees acted like small picture perfect moments. The whole feel of the hot spring was one that soothed the inner soul as well as gave the eyes the feeling of being within a great and magnificent garden. Held in the middle, was a small waterfall, as the water cascaded down it created a sound that reminded the two of brass chimes, as well as releasing small amounts of steam which blanketed the area to make it look like it was meant for celestial maidens.

Sango readied herself to pounce into the water fully clothed but before she could she realized her foully and ran quickly behind a bush to undress. Stepping into the tepid water she shivered as the feeling of renowned pleasure resonated throughout her body. Situating herself onto a boulder to allow herself to fully relax she called back to her friend who seemed to be looking off into the distance, unknowing of the pleasure that awaited her if she where to step into the pool of water. Alittle hauskily Sango questioned "Looking for Miroku? I really doubt that he's there, now come on sweetie, aren't you going to come in?"

Smiling at her friend, Kagome replied; "Ya I will. However, I think I sense a jewel shard near by."

"What! Are you sure Kagome?" Sango asked anxiously.

"Um, not really. I'm going to go check it out if that's okay with you."

"What about our bath? Don't you want to relax a little before going?" Sango said.

"I do, but if I wait any longer, the demon or whatever the thing is could be gone and we could lose the shard all together." Kagome replied.

"I'll come with you." Sango sighed with disappointment as she exited the spring but stopped shortly as Kagome called for her.

With a small grin, Kagome couldn't help but feel bad for Sango since the past week the group traveled non-stop. Inuyasha said that he'd sensed Naraku nearby and wouldn't allow for him to get away. Inuyasha had decided that the group would not stop to rest, eat, or bathe. It wasn't until he finally lost the scent completely that the whole group decided it would be a good idea for them to split up and spend some time for themselves, which Kagome thought was way over due.

She pitied Sango immensely; her best friend deserved a break. "I'll be alright Sango, just stay and relax okay?"

"I don't know Kagome, I think I should accompany you, you know just in case." Sango said hesitantly.

"I'll be fine I promise." Kagome replied while trying to suppress a grin. Sighing, Sango just gave Kagome a nod and watched as her friend walked off.

Kagome walked in the direction that she sensed the jewel shard at for awhile. She finally felt a strong sense that the shard was close by and picked up her pace so to catch up with the bearer of the jewel. When she finally arrived at the clearing she believed the shard was at, she timidly gazed around, one point where she had turned, she found herself face to face with the emotionless Western Prince.

"Sess...Sesshoumaru." Kagome stuttered out.

Not daring to reply to such a disrespectful ningen he turned himself around and walked to the other side of the clearing where he took in his surroundings.

"KAGOME!" Kagome heard a child's voice yell. Kagome didn't have enough time to registered what had happened until something or someone had pummeled her from behind making her fall to the ground. Once on the grassed floor, Kagome turned her head to the person and gasped as she was greeted by the raven haired girl; Rin.

"It has been so long since I've seen you Kagome!" Rin squealed as she launched herself into Kagome's arms. Kagome smiled brightly as she embraced the child. Rin giggled softly as she rose to her feet, bending down she offered Kagome her hand which Kagome gladly took and hoisted herself into a standing position.

"Sorry Kagome, I didn't mean to knock you down, I guess I don't know my own strength." Rin said as she rubbed the top of her head while giggling. Laughing, Kagome gave Rin a small smile.

"It's alright Rin I'm fine."

"Good" Rin replied taking a look at her lord who was currently finding the forest interesting.

"Hey, Rin I do have a question though." Kagome questioned sweetly.

"What is it Kagome?" Rin asked.

"Do you or Sesshoumaru have a jewel shard with you?"

Rin glanced at Sesshoumaru to see if he would answer for her, seeing none Rin returned her attention back to Kagome. Sesshoumaru was in no position right now to give an answer so she sighed. Rin shook her head in response. Sighing dejectedly, Kagome turned to leave. Her steps however, were stopped as a strong arm suddenly found its way to her shoulder. It was a firm grip she felt, so she turned and gasped.

"Uh, Sess...Sesshoumaru, what are you doing." Kagome asked stunned by the recent events.

"Don't move," was his cold and calculated response.

At first Kagome thought that the demon lord had gone insane, but as she watched, she saw Sesshoumaru grab hold of one of his sword in his left sash. He unsheathed the Toukijin. She gasped in fright as the demon lord jumped in front of her positioning himself in front with his back turned to her. Startled, Kagome yelled. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Sesshoumaru gave her a piercing look which made her flinched before he focused back on the forest in front of him readying himself into a fighting stance. Just as Kagome was about to yell out another insult, Sesshoumaru lunged forward; at the same time, from the forest sprung forth a large boar demon.

Shocked and startled, Kagome glanced at the demon standing before Sesshoumaru. She noticed something shiny on the top of the demon's forehead, squinting her eyes, she gasped as she saw the sacred jewel shard.

"Sesshoumaru, the jewel shard, it's on the demon's forehead," She yelled hoping in some way that this piece of information would help him. Sesshoumaru ignored her words as he glanced at the demon sheathing his Toukijin and instead used his acid whip to quickly end the demons life before it even had the chance to fight.

Kagome sweat dropped at the crumpled body. The fight was so short and Sesshoumaru made it look so easy. She hurried over and delicately picked the tiny fragment shard from the skull. She turned around to apologize and to thank the demon lord, but all she was met was thin air, both Sesshoumaru and Rin had disappeared, she was only left with the dead body as her company.

Sighing and rolling her eyes, Kagome started to stroll back to the hot spring where she had left Sango. The whole way back Kagome couldn't help but think about what had happened back at the clearing, 'Why did he help me, I thought he hated humans. He could have just left me to fend for myself?'

He probably helped me because he thought Rin needed a playmate. Laughing a little at the thought, she began to think more about the demon lord. 'I guess he's not that heartless, ha! Yah right, and one day I'll sprout wings and be able to fly. What am I thinking of course he's heartless, he probably wants to kill me, what a jerk?' Just as she finished her last thought, she noticed a figure running towards her. "Sango!"
