"What happened?" were the words that swirled through Kagome's fuzzy brain. All she knew was that she was lying on the ground, with no recollection of how she got there. Her head hurt, and she was sure that something was broken... but she didn't remember how it had happened, then it came to her, she gasped and sat upright, causing her in turn to fall to the ground once more.

"You shouldn't do that." A familiar voice from behind her sounded out. Being careful not to make any sudden movements, she slowly moved her head to look to the side. And there, sitting before her, expressionless as usual was the Lord of the Western Lands in the flesh.

It was too much; Kagome just closed her eyes, and fell into a dead faint. Images swirled before her. Naraku, Inuyasha, Sango, Kilala, Miroku, Shippou, even Kikyo. All of the images came up one by one, saying goodbye... wishing her a happy life... "NO!" she screamed, trying to grab hold of Inuyasha as he turned around, but only grabbing air as he disappeared and Kikyo walked forward, face still impassive. "He is mine now Kagome," she told her. "And you now have your own mission to accomplish, we will always be in your heart, Don't forget us." And with that, she was gone.

The girl was truly strange... he had no clue as to why he would want another human girl with him. Rin was enough. Even knowing Jaken watched her most of the time, the girl could get on his nerves. But he had a feeling that if this Kagome set her mind to it... She could take her own life by being annoying.

He watched as the girl tossed and turned in her sleep. He doubted she would remember what had transpired during the battle with Naraku. Unfortunately he was the only one left of his family now... Inuyasha had saved the girl, and in turn taking his own to protect her.

"And there is NO way this Sesshomaru is baby-sitting a human," he thought to himself. Then groaned mentally... What was he doing with Rin then?

While Sesshomaru was having his mental battle about baby-sitting, Kagome came to once again. But this time, the confused haze was gone. She didn't try to move, tried not to think. Tears slipped down her cheeks for all that she'd lost. Her friends, her love...

"At Least you have your life Miko," was the last words she heard before she passed out once again.
