The Glory of Education and Employment by Xela
A Bad Day
Alllright so bluntly I started this story with one intention...I wanted to write a lemon. Unfortunantly I am insane. Therefore I had to give a background story to it. So essentially the first chapter is set up so I can fill the rest of it with lemons.

A Bad Day
Chapter 1: catering
She sat with a deep sigh and frown on an unevenly legged chair, next to an unevenly legged table in her family's unevenly measured apartment. Walls sagged and curved sporadically and floors creaked and groaned. She was herself a mess, black hair still unbrushed from her fresh awakening and stained pajamas hanging about her loosely. But at this point she didn't care what she looked like. First thing every morning she walked to get the mail and paper from the street before the trashier humanoids of her neighborhood could recover their sense of direction from the adversary that was a hangover. Lastly of course put tea on for her probably still sleeping grandpa.
But this morning was different from the everyday routine. She had received mail. Kagome sighed softly again as she reopened the pristine glossy letter for the umpteenth time. It was an invitation, splashed with pricy scent, inscribed with pricy letters, graced with pricy elaborate mass-produced signature from the most blood thirsty and wealthy man in Japan and absolutely gleaming with its mocking implication of riches.
If it was addressed to her she would have been in a frenzy, looking for the right dress, the right shoes and all the right and of course matching accessories. Then it would be off to a night of obscene riches and dream worthy displays. Unfortunately it wasn't addressed to her....it was to her currently employing catering service.
'Hah...catering.' She thought about the ridiculousness about that title with a knot of disgust in her belly. Food was not what got the caterer's business. No, the employees needed scantily and fancily clad pretty girls for old men to stare at. Nothing but a show or amusement. But they weren't entertainers...no, there were observers and regulations for that. They were waitresses.
As thoughts about the letter clouded her mind she rubbed her temples softly. She was disgusting. Selling her image like some kind of superficial brainless idiot for the money. She could have gotten a different job, not one that paid as much obviously, but one where she maintained all of her supposed moral fiber. Sometimes a brightly and badly colored, button up, baggy, fast-food restaurant shirt was amazingly appealing. But she had chosen this one instead. For good reason too. The outrageously spread out and thin hours, the high pay, the free after party food. Benefits galore, she thought for a bit of self-consoling...and so far she had played her cards right and not had to have any physical contact with the employees she mentally added. But the fact that leery old men were even a threat was the point of her self turmoil. Though the benefits when spelled out seemed to outweigh any of her self disgust....it still bothered her...and being in constant worry of a lecherous and too-rich-to-acquire-justice-from man wasn't good for her blood pressure.
Suddenly an alarm went off and successfully woke her from her musing. "SCHOOL!!!!" she squealed in panic as her socks thudded heavily against their floor. 'I am going to be late!!!' She quickly discarded her sweat pants and t-shirt, sliding into the green pleated school skirt and slinging her arms into the white sleeves of her button up blouse. She grabbed her shoes and thundered into the kitchen. 'Mm....breakfast breakfast breakfast....What is fast?' She quickly did the routine of pouring some tea into a mug for herself but just as the boiling water started to flow a voice came solemnly from behind her. "You are going to be late. I will not tolerate it. Get out of here...now." She jumped at his voice and scalded herself. Whimpering and hissing softly she turned to argue in favor of being able to eat. But her grandpa was immovable. A glint of threat was in his grey eyes that made push down her anger. It wasn't worth it..... she couldn't be late again.
Flying out the door she pressed her lips to the red welt on her right hand while grasping her backpack in her left. When she hit the street she started to sprint, heaving with shallow breaths, feeling with a heat in her cheeks the floating of her skirt with each lunge. The only thing keeping her pace was the distant first bell.
She started to nibble on her lip as fear started to tickle at her belly, 'I will be in so much trouble if I am late again.' One stop light away she was stopped by the blaring red handprint. She gave a quick look around and kept going. Big mistake....if she had been paying attention a bit more the thundering of an overpriced and gas-guzzling sports car could have been easily heard. Said car's screech as she ran in front however was heard. Kagome gasped and her eyes grew in surprise when she saw the zooming metal death trap... coming much too fast to be able to avoid her. 'Oh no...'
In that moment everything moved slowly and she was sure her life was ending, her heart was pounding even harder in her ears but her whole world was overcome by what seemed substantially louder brake screech and stinging glint of the sun off the hood. 'I don't want this....' But the death and clatter didn't come, a pink glow that only a demon could have seen filled her eyes and shimmered at her fingertips as the teenager planted one hand down and jumped onto the hood of the car with beautiful reflexes. She was in the clear.
Then everything was once again normal, the car stopped with her two feet widely spaced and a laughable expression of "Oh God" cemented upon her face, but her ride didn't stop there, momentum was too much and she was sent spiraling into the hard leather back seat.
Cold pupils surveyed the heap of woman newly planted into the car; legs were flung over the headrest, arms flailed to either side and hair strewn into her face. Her skirt had slid down towards her hips, showing off a good amount of leg, the obviously hastily fastened and already misfastened blouse had lost a button, revealing more than she had probably intended. He couldn't help but give a wide smirk at the sight. High school girls were so amusing. But despite this momentary amusement he remembered how an idiot had ran straight into his path, possibly hurting his car with the stupidity. They were all also so....pathetic.
She groaned softly and straightened herself.... he was going to have to do something about this. Just when interaction between the two should have started the warning bell chimed and she was up and running once more. Kagome felt her feet moving though her mind was still somewhere else....half aware that she had almost been killed. Reflex was a beautiful thing. Even though it was currently guiding her to her prison.
Her school was one of the best. Filled not only with the richest people but also with demons..... one of the few not forcefully separated. She didn't mind them too much, they usually kept to themselves. Or maybe she avoided them. Who knows.... The only reason she was even there was because her grandpa demanded it. Not that he paid for it or offered any financial support.
They had created this mixed school in the attempt to make a more equal generation "without the great prejudices crafted from centuries of battle and domination" she quoted with a high and mighty voice in her mind, but they had failed miserably. Demon youth had quickly taken all seats resembling power; hall monitors, teacher's aid, assistants, anything they could to acquire dominance. It was slightly ridiculous. 'Whatever...as long as I don't get into trouble everything will work out.' Her school had been the wiser under those circumstances as well...a nice little donation could get you whatever you desired. She was on the hard marble steps now, she could make it... 'Just keep running.'
Her muscles were just about to give out when the bell rang. Thankfully she slid into the room just as it stopped with deep breaths and gasps, stumbling to her desk. 'Whew made it.' She couldn't feel her body anymore, she hadn't eaten, she was still surprised that she was alive after her automobile experience, her pulse was still sky-rocketing...if she could just make it to her chair. Everyone was already seated and everyone was staring.
She didn't bother to meet their eyes as she finally reached and collapsed into her desk. Giggles started as she finally looked around...girls were giving her bad looks and guys were smirking to each other. What was going on? Something was slightly off.... Was it just her? "Ahem." The teacher brought her attention to the front of the room and its new inhabitant. Who was he? He was tall and scary looking. Demon. With icy gold eyes. He held himself with obvious arrogance and aggression. Scary....and that smirk was not only unnerving... it was familiar.
"This Sesshoumaru believes that you are most indecent wench." He said as his smirk widened to reveal a fang. She huffed and was about to retort but....she felt that something was indeed wrong. Pausing, she looked down for a moment and blushed vividly, giving a soft "eep" that sent the demon males in the room into raucous laughter. Her shirt was unbuttoned far enough to reveal the white lacy top of her bra, and her skirt had hiked up a good 4 inches, border lining to reveal some more underwear. Yanking on her skirt she covered as much leg as possible before fumbling with the white blouse and realizing that her buttons had broken.
"Go to the office." He paused to let the raising laughter and whispers be heard. "Do not return till you are respectable." He said with a touch of mockery. She glared at him, fisting her hands in her shirt as she pulled it tighter together. She wanted to do what he said and get another shirt to wear....but she didn't want to obey him. "What gives you the right to tell me what to do?" She said spitting fire and attempting to regain her pride.
It felt like she had just slapped him across the face. To say the least Sesshoumaru was surprised. Did she know who he was? She dared to...... He felt his claws lengthen and poison ready itself behind his fingertips as his demon was awoken. How dare she? A weak Human female, how dare she question he the mighty sesshoumaru? A weak human mindless female who had nearly smashed herself into his car. Blood started was heating in his veins as he felt his demon need to grasp her flesh in retribution. To discipline her.
Her teacher, an old man without emotions or soul cut in. "Kagome if you weren't bursting in here last moment you would have heard that he is the new class manager." 'Class manager....how stupid!' That position must have cost his daddy a small mansion and shining sports car. All so that his son could have a seat of "power" at the school. She scoffed and exhaled with exasperation before rising out of her glorious wonderful forgiving seat. 'These damn demons and their arrogance....absolutely intolerable!' She stared her to be victim down as she escorted herself to the office.
Sesshoumaru gave her a stoic look as she followed his orders with a raging fire in her eyes. Though he held his face in apathetic glare he felt his demon growl and raise fur at this bitch who defied him. Feeling the familiar lust for flesh as she turned away from him with an unfamiliar defiance. As his muscles tightened with demonic urge he felt himself slightly amused with this woman who was able hold his attentions...despite their violent variety. But then again it would have been difficult to not notice her .....she had planted herself into the back of his car. She was none the less....irrrelevant.
After the classroom door slammed loudly he smirked again and moved to sit in the back. It was all too familiar, the bland teachers, the giggling girls and the cocky males- all absolutely irrelevant and as good as cattle before the slaughter. This was just another one of his many first days at school... but today had started disgustingly pathetic...this school not coming anywhere near the luxury of his last one; but he would go where there was the most business opportunity.
Not to mention the new addition to the number of useless things about his school attendance... stupid humans that moved about like fish in a shark pin. The memory of a girl falling into his backseat came to mind followed shortly by her glaring blue eyes. 'Pathetic woman and her attempts at rebellion. This sesshoumaru will discipline her if it is required.' But he had some suspicions about the true nature of this female....her luck was much too great....
"The Western lands then were faced with a new challenge when the neko..." His ears perked and his trail of thought was broken at the reference to his father's land....only to be rewarded with disappointment. The teacher was rambling on about the ancient war in Japanese history determining the distribution of land between lords and their samurai, of which he was already well aware of seeing as his father had participated in it. He let his attention wane and he was suddenly aware of a great amount of conversation around him...his curiosity was peaked.
He let his ears twitch and he heard the whisperings of the females two rows ahead of him.
"And his hair...look at that color and length!"
"I know!! And the way it looks with those gold eyes..."
Innerly scoffing he changed his attention to the low tones of males 4 aisles to the side.
"Damn her curves are fuckin sweet."
"You don't need to tell me dude I was there for that short skirt too."
They both started to laugh audibly as he felt his demon growl at the mention of that female.
But it was the conversation between two demonesses just in front of him that saved his listening experience from being a waste....... And they did it with one name.

"Naraku." Kagome read with a touch of worry. She had heard some sketchy stories around the school about their uniform management assistant director. After all what kind of pervert wants to be in charge of enforcing female (and unavoidably male) uniform to the point of making ridiculous donations? She wondered what he was really like...maybe he wasn't that bad.
Besides it wasn't like he would be the one taking care of her uniform problems right? That was what Ms. Yura was for... Kagome had never been sent here before...her skirts were always knee length and her shirts always fully buttoned and loose. 'But this is my lucky day.' She thought unhappily while fingering her burn with a finger as she kept her fist clamped onto her shirt lapels. Without warning the door opened revealing the director of uniform management....the real teacher... Ms. Yura.
She was pushing her hair out of her face and smoothing her ruffled shirt with haste as she exited, only to walk straight into Kagome. She jumped and quickly scanned over the obstacle in her path with a sour look. Seeing a student she plastered a fake smile on and quickly walked towards the school's exit with a passing call of, "Pay more attention darling."
'Wait if she is leaving that means......' She walked inside quickly as the door swung shut with a dull clank to be greeted with a dim lamp-lit room with chairs lining the front half and a desk separating the scary chamber in two. She swallowed and slunk forward with deathly resolve. "Um...I am here to..." She started as a pale, black-haired male seemed to appear from the darkness behind her. 'Damn demons...' She thought with a rising fear as he spoke. "You are here to have your uniform managed I assume....Right in here." His hand pressed into the small of her back uncomfortably as she was led blindly into a room in the back.
