:: sigh ::
I had high hopes for this one. But by the time I got to the background, it fizzled out for me. I do want to thank again everyone who offered up their opinions/help. I tried all your suggestions and I still wasn't getting anywhere. Ah well. There is always the next time around for amazing backgrounds!
Lineart belongs to Yoruzuki...obviously. I just enjoy playing in photoshop. :)

That is the face I made when I saw this.
This is amazingly beautiful and I believe that I'm in love with it.
Please, feel free to colour whichever line arts of mine that you'd like. This is amazing!
You are absolutely right about the lack of detail. I think that is where my displeasure stems from. I was also glad to see you brought up my color scheme. Even in my professional work, I tend to lean towards more natural/subdued color schemes. But mostly I just like sticking characters with such a powerful and established image in different schemes. It makes me interested in them all over again.
It's an awesome background and it fits perfectly.
I agree... Maybe you're feeling that way because there's not as much detailing in the background, but really, you don't need it. The colors and shading you have is great and pulls the eyes to the couple in the middle. That is as it should be. They are the focus and the rest is the support. I often see such bright colors in some of these pieces that it is very nice to see one done in such wonderful earth tone. I truly enjoy how this came out.
