It didn't seem to matter anymore. It didn't matter that she was human, a maid, nor that she was a miko. All he saw was her, and so, as he led her into a dance, in front of the entire ball, he smiled.

And when he looked down to see her smiling back, he could have sworn sparkles flew about them.

And it was beautiful.
