This is my first attempt at using adobe photoshop. I haven't quite figured out how to do the background or make her look less flat, but I thought that I would post my progress and see what everyone thinks.

If anyone has any tips they would be greatly appreciated!!

This is beautiful. As another PS rookie, I've also learned that layers definitely work. So, the more you use it, the better you'll be at it. Still, nicely done.

love it! Layer's are you best friend in PS, try adding another layer and making it "multiply" this will make it so the layer is "see through" making any color "with the exception of white" make the lower layer darker. I know Rika and a few other's will actually use a pure black and then just tone the layer level down to about 18-25 % which gives off a shadow. There may be a tutorial in our stocks for it, but i love this! good luck with more coloring! feel free to ask questions from myself, and i'm sure a few other's will be glad to help! - r0o ;-)

layers are your best friend in PS, that way you can color each section separately without having to worry about the colors bleeding together when you shade
