And It Starts...

The defeat of Naraku had been a few months ago, everyone was finally falling into a normal routine.

Sango and Mirokuhad married within days of the evil half demons demise. She was expecting her first child already. Within the first two months of being married, Miroku had already knockd her up. He was constanly bragging about how his new baby was going to be.

Inuyasha had run off. Which really didn't surprise anyone. He had not been seen since the great battle, off on his search for Kikyo.

Kagome was stuck in the past. The well still worked, yet Kagome could no longer picture herself living in the future. Her life was here now with or without Inuyasha. She did, after all, have Shippo to raise and take care of. That withstanding did not stop her from visiting her family.

Kagome sighed as she got herself out of bed. It was before sunrise, it was always before sunrise. She had been so used to being awake and moving as the sun rose, that her body still refused to allow her to sleep in months after the days of travel had ended.

Her son, Shippo, laid in his room softly snoring. It had taken him no time at all to master the act of sleeping in. Kagome was slightly jealous of that fact.

She uncovered her legs and allowed them to dangle from her raised bed as she slowly sat up. Today was going to be yet another boring day. Racing around battling for jewel shards would make any normally pleasant day dull. Kagome had attempted to allievate her boring days by going for short hikes in the forest.

Finally getting herself out of bed, Kagome slid on her clothes for the day. Growling in frustration she noticed the few extra pounds she had started to gain.

"Just great, if I don't do something, I'll be without clothes becaus these won't be fitting any longer."

"Momma.." Shippo called out sleepily from his bedroom, "How would you ever find a demon mate without putting on a little weight?...."

"What are you saying Shippo?! That I would have to be fat to find a mate?!" Kagome practically shreaked in outrage.

"well.... duuuuhhhh... Momma..." Shippo rolled his eyes even though his mom couldn't see him, "Any male worth anything will want a healthy female, even I know that, you human women are extremely under weight for us demons. Not that that counts for you Momma. You are healthy compared to most the humans we find."

"Still Shippo, I don't plan on mating, a demon or a human, and I dont want to gain anymore weight.. in fact... I think I'm going to start trying to lose this. I'd never thought I'd say this, but, I kind of really miss all that travelling."

Outside, hidden in a tree, a large male demon found himself frowning. His chosen female wished to make herself sickly. He was waiting until she allowed herself to become 'healthier' before he announced his decision. He would have to stop her from herself it seemed.

He did, after all, find the curves that had resently appeared on the miko's form beautiful and could not help himself of thinking about how much more stunning she would become as her curves became more announced with the weight he would force her to gain.
