*Mika – New Moon

*God Tree - Go-Shimboku

Kagome sighed as she looked out her window towards the Go-Shimboku. She felt as though her heart was about to beat out of her chest. Her and Mika were returning to their ‘home’ in the morning. Kagome turned from the window and looked down on her bed at her daughter, Mika. It had been a year since Inuyasha had made her go back to her era for the safety of her and the unborn pup she carried.

Four months after she returned she delivered Mika into the world. She then rested for a month then started her training. She was now very powerful and good with all kinds of weapons. Kagome had also trained in her miko powers. She had also found out since she had Mika that some of her daughters youki mixed with her reitai. They did not know the extent of the changes that Kagome would endure but she would deal with them for her child.

Kagome smiled as she looked over her daughters sleeping form. Mika had ears like Inuyasha. Her hair though was silver with black streaks but her ears were black with silver streaks. Mika also had a small crescent moon on the back of her neck. Kagome knew that Mika was only a year old but she looked as though she was three. Mika could also speak pretty well for being so young.

Kagome prided herself with teaching her daughter how to read, write, and speak the right way. Kagome sighed as she thought back to the time she found out she was pregnant. Her heart fluttered with the words Inuyasha told her. She knew that Inuyasha was the only reason for her going back. Kagome missed her hanyou. She never thought he would be supportive when he found out she was pregnant with his half brothers pup.

>Flash Back<

Kagome looked up from her book to see Inuyasha hovering over her. She frowned as he took a seat beside her.

“Are you ok, Inuyasha?” Kagome put a hand to his forehead. They had been back at Edo for almost two days and Inuyasha had not left her side yet. Not even when Kikyo called him and that made her worry.

“Feh.” He turned away from her. “When did you sleep with Sesshoumaru?” Inuyasha felt his eyes prick with tears. He loved Kagome more than his own life but if Sesshoumaru had claimed her he could do nothing about it.

Kagome bowed her head. “I-It was when w-we got separated about a week ago.” Kagome covered her face with her hands. “H-He was hurt and when I went to help him he grabbed me and started to kiss me. You have to believe that I didn’t know what was happening til it was to late.” Kagome sobbed as she thought Inuyasha would leave her. “I don’t love him. I love you!”

Inuyasha turned to look at the girl he had come to love. He loved her more than Kikyo. His heart clenched when he heard what she said. Inuyasha drew Kagome into his lap. Inuyasha nuzzled her neck and cheek then kissed her on the forehead.

“I want you to go back to your time for a while.” Inuyasha whispered against Kagome’s forehead. “I....I want you to be safe. I.....I love you, Kagome.” Kagome pulled back and gazed at Inuyasha with tears in her eyes.

“You...you...” Kagome could not get any words out before Inuyasha covered her lips with his. He pulled back after a minute and looked into her eyes.

“Yes but...” Inuyasha sighed as he looked into her eyes. “You’re pregnant. I want you to go back til you have the pup then I want you to train that way you can protect the pup. I want you to be safe.” He layed his hand on her stomach. A purr came from his chest. Kagome nodded then giggled as she kissed him on the lips. She knew that Inuyasha would always be there.

>End Flashback<

Kagome picked up her daughter and slid her over that way she could lye down next to her. As Kagome drifted off her thoughts were on a certain hanyou and the rest of her friends. She prayed that he would not come around for a long time. She wanted to keep Mika from him as long as possible.

>Feudal Era<

Inuyasha sat in the top of the Go-Shimboku looking down at the well. He shifted knowing that Kagome would be back soon. He had went over there once to see how she was doing only to see that Kagome had already given birth to a girl. A smile graced his lips as he remembered the feeling when he first saw the pup. Even though it was not his he felt pride.

Inuyasha shook his head trying to clear his thoughts. After he had sent Kagome back to the other side he had told Sango, Miroku, and Shippou why he had sent her back. Sango was angry til he explained that since Sesshoumaru wanted to kill him because he was a hanyou then he would kill Kagome’s pup as well. Miroku did not think that his half brother would do such a thing but Inuyasha told him he would.

Shippou was hurt but happy that Kagome would be back. In fact they were are currently at Kaeda’s sleeping waiting for the morning. Inuyasha let his head hit the trunk of the tree as a thought of Kikyo entered his mind. She had been killed by Naraku about 3 months after Kagome had left. Inuyasha felt his heart break when he found her slowly losing the souls that kept her alive.

>Flashback<

“Kikyo!” Inuyasha screamed as he ran over to the clay body that held his beloveds soul. He fell to his knees and pulled her head into his lap.

“Inuyasha.” She raised a hand to his cheek. “He did kill me. Naraku did kill me after all.” Inuyasha felt tears prick the back of his eyes.

“I’m sorry Kiki...” Inuyasha was stopped when she put a finger to his lips.

“Do not be sorry Inuyasha. For I know what you have been doing.” Kikyo confessed to her lost love. “However I have come to an understanding. Kagome and I are the same yet....(hiss of pain).....she is stronger than even I could imagine.”

Inuyasha felt his mouth drop in awe. “What do you mean?”

“She is not my reincarnation Inuyasha but my twin soul. The Kami's made her to help you since I betrayed you. I was given this when I realized that we were the same.” Kikyo raised up and kissed him on the lips. “Take care of us.”

>Flash back end<

Inuyasha wiped the tear that fell from his eye. He pulled out a crystal that Kikyo had given him before she died. She had told him that it would hold the rest of Kagome’s soul until she returned. Nodding he placed it back in the hidden pocket in his hario. Inuyasha looked to the horizon and smiled. The sun would be up soon and Kagome would return to him.

Inuyasha jumped down and ran to the well. He wanted to make sure that everything was fine before she arrived. Inuyasha also wanted to make sure that his half brother was not around anywhere. He snorted at the thought that his brother would actually want his hanyou pup when he wouldn’t even accept his hanyou brother.

A/N – Hope you enjoy the first chapter. I also want to apologies because I have put one of my stories on pause. My train of thought stopped on that one story. However I will return to it once my train of thought is going again. Til then enjoy.....**Revised**
