Morning At School

It was an early Friday morning, and Kagome Higurashi was fast asleep in her bed, dreaming silly dreams of no meaning, sleeping rather peacefully. Suddenly the hour hand moved to 12 on her clock and the alarm went off, causing her to literally leap out of bed and hit the floor with a thud, landing on her butt. She turned her attention to the clock that was still going off, glaring at it and grabbing said device she threw it out her bedroom window, a satisfied smile appearing once the beeping sound of the alarm stopped. Sighing she stood up, rubbing her rear and heading over to the bathroom to begin her morning routine, an annoyed look on her face for having to wake up and head to school.

Standing there in the bathroom she looked at her reflection, slamming her face a bit a splashing water on her face she signed, "Alright Kagome, here we go again, yet another dull day of high school," she said aloud to herself, her thoughts continuing as she took up her tooth brush, spread the toothpaste on it and began to brush her teeth, 'at least its only two more weeks of school left after today you'll be out of high school and off to college once this is over, so come on girl you can do it!' she thought to herself, trying to give herself a pep talk in her mind.

Once she finished with her toothbrush she then proceeded to take a shower, feeling the hot water on her skin though she was tempted to just stand there and enjoy the heat flowing over her, the soothing heat making her want to go back to bed and sleep. But she knew better than to let the water win its battle against her, so quickly she took the soap, soaping her body and washing off, getting out as fast as she could and drying off. She then wrapped the towel about her and went back to her room to get dressed.

In a matter of minutes she was dressed in a black jeans and white double strapped spaghetti straps top, the straps going over her shoulders and around her neck and tying there, with the other set of straps resting on her shoulders like a normal strap top. The white shirt had a black flower design and in big fancy letters the words Baby Girl was written in black and silver. Going over to the mirror she gazed at her reflection, satisfied in her choice of clothing she grabbed a pair of high heeled shoes that had buckled straps and grabbing a brush she combed her hair out, leaving it loose for the day. Once done she grabbed her black backpack and headed down stairs and through the door, calling to her mom, "bye mom, leaving for school, not hungry I'll buy lunch today!" Her mother glanced out of the kitchen, in response, barely catching her in time, "alright sweetie, love you; have a nice day at school." Kagome smiled and waved back before closing the door fully this time and heading to school.

Arriving early at school, Kagome stood by the gates of Shikon High, awaiting her friends to meet her so they all could walk in together. She wasn't waiting there for very long when two very familiar voices called out to her, "Kagome!!!" Turning around Kagome smiled, finding Ayame and Sango jogging over to her. "Morning!" they said in unison as if they were twins.

Kagome giggled at them, "morning," she answered, "what’s up girls?" although she saw them only yesterday she felt compelled to ask them just in case she missed anything during the night, any news at all that either girl might decide important to share.

Sango answered for both of them, "oh nothing much, same as usual, so where's Kikyo?"

Kagome shrugged, "not a clue, but where's Miroku and Ko-EEP!!!" her scream interrupting her from finishing her question. And right after a loud slap was heard as if echoing down the street, Kagome stood there glaring at Miroku, "well that answered my question about Miroku, she stated in an annoyed tone.

Sango too stood there glaring at her boyfriend, "Miroku! Would you stop with the groping, you already have me so if you even so much as try groping-" but she was cut off by Sesshomaru as he now finished what it seemed Sango had started to say, "Kagome again you will lose that hand of yours," he stated in a rather cold tone. The finished statement wasn't quite exactly what Sango was going to say but it seemed to get the point across well enough.

"Eheh....oops....damn I'm telling you guys, this hand is possessed, it has a mind of its own," Miroku stated trying to excuse his actions and fearing for his life at the moment.

"Hey Sessho, where are the others?" Kagome asked, meaning Kikyo and Inuyasha specifically.

"They are on their way and Koga is coming, his car broke down so I gave him a lift, right now he's in the parking lot trying to get rid of some guys that keep pestering him, or something of the sort," Sesshomaru answered.

Kagome nodded, "oh okay, well hopefully we won't be waiting too much longer for them, class is gonna start soon," she stated with a sigh, really preferring to go inside and sit at the moment but they did this every day as a routine, meeting up here, so Kagome wouldn't complain.

Sesshomaru cleared his throat a bit and nodded, "shouldn't be too much longer, um Kagome...would you like to go to dinner with me tonight? I have to discuss something with you and it has to wait until this evening.

"Of course, dinner sounds great, what time should I be ready?" she asked.

"NO TIME! There is no way you’re going out with my brother, I already know the reason and trust me Kagome he's going to break your heart, he'll-" Inuyasha charged in yelling the first part out before Sesshomaru could even answer her.

However Inuyasha was cut off before finishing his sentence by Kikyo "Inuyasha you don't know what its about, if you did you wouldn't have been asking him repeatedly last night only to either have an accident where you fell back in your chair or getting a some non-liquid punch, now stop minding other people's business," she half snapped at her idiotic boyfriend.

"Yes Inuyasha, I'd advise you to keep your mouth shut unless you want me to let everyone know what you did back in fifth grade and you know Kagome would love to help me out with that since she is the only other one who knows about it," Sesshomaru threatened slightly, a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"Uh you know what, forget I even interrupted, I ah...yea just go back to what you were doing, in fact, let’s pretend that I wasn't even here," he stated quickly and moved behind Kikyo as if in an attempt to hide.

"Alright. Now Kagome how does seven sound to you?" Sesshomaru asked.

Kagome smiled and nodded, "seven sounds great to me," she then turned to Kikyo, Sango and Ayame, "will you girls mind helping me get ready?" she asked them.

"Definitely!" they replied in unison.

After that was settled the bell rang and everyone began to head to class. As for Koga, he was currently following them to class, clueless as to everything that happened. He had arrived there towards the end of things, during Inuyasha's puzzling secret part of the conversation. All he could gather was that Inuyasha had some embarrassing secret that he wanted to know of and that the girl were going to help Kagome get ready for something, though for what, he hadn't a clue and so remained oblivious as they all went to their classes.

Reading it over after a few years I realized I had a lot to correct and now I’m a bit more pleased with my re-written work. I had to remake my account on here, couldn’t remember my login info and the email I used I can’t get access to it any longer, I haven’t used it in so long that it got deleted or something by msn.
