Sleep Aid by angelica

Chapter One

Kagome couldn’t sleep, plain and simple. It felt like weeks turned into months. Inuyasha complained of her sluggishness. She couldn’t find it in herself to care. Pills, tea, counting sheep, physical labor—nothing worked. She was losing her mind. Any sleep she did happen to snatch was fitful and weak, leaving her more exhausted than before.

Staring at the fire, she sighed and ground her palms into her eyes. Tension skittered beneath her skin. Growling to herself, she turned away and stomped in the direction of the shallow stream.

She’d just unzipped her skirt, shimmied it down her thighs, and was in the middle of pulling off her T-shirt  when someone spoke.

“Kagome.”
