I am loving this story and its twists and turns--you are very skilled with keeping readers interested. I am just puzzled though...I have expected the meeting with the elders to be a lot more...shall we say, tempestuous. It was rather understated and left me at the end feeling "huh?". I suppose what I am trying to say is this: how did the same elders result in the tragedy that was Shin-mi's life? Will Shin-mi be avenged or get some form of justice? Is Kagome a reincarnated Shin-mi? Will we see some groveling from Sesshomaru/more pain from Seshomaru's end including Inutaisho and Inuyasha just to balance out the whole Umichi mating and Setsuna's suffering? Suffice to say, I am excited to get the answers in the course of your updates.
