I agree with Sesshoumaru's assessment of Kagome's clothing for that time period. Sure she's a modern woman but not of that time so she should not feel so smug. She's not in her time and so should dress more modestly. Besides, who wears an expensive school uniform while gallivanting about in the woods and doing battle? The uniform gets damaged, her bare legs get scratched by bushes and brambles, and last but not least, her panties are constantly on display. Even while being carried on Inuyasha's back, her short skirt is flopping up and down showing everything underneath. No wonder Miroku is constantly groping Sango with Kagome constantly flashing her painties at him. I never understood why the writers of the anime dressed her the way they did.
