I'm a tad confused. In chapter 27 Sesshomaru was there and then suddenly he isn't? Did I miss a chapter or something for why he's gone? 

True. Good for Kagome not backing down. Hopefully, she can get a few lucky shots in. She shouldn't have let it out that she was a Miko, though. The element of surprise is everything

Poor Shippo. At least his mother originally died long ago. Hoping he can remain safe in this story.

Wait. She just left? On her own? That seems counterproductive at best. And how will she get help through this if she stays away from Sesshomaru?

It's nice that at least Sesshomaru doesn't fight the bond and Kagome, despite her confusion doesn't either. As for her sisters and village, better to cut them off early rather than have them turn on her later. 

Thanks for this last round of updates! Poor Kagome, now that she has no place to go, will she be wooed by the western fortress?! So excited to see what happens with our favorite mated pair!

I understand where Kaede is coming from.  Trying to protect Kagome and the village at the same time.  Hopefully she lets her take her belongings including a pot to cook with, a bow with a quiver of arrows and other things she'll need.  Man this is so screwed up but what's done is done.  So go on Kagome take it on...
