The Kyabakura

Sakura was running through rehearsal with her wedding party and now they were headed to the big fancy dinner. Once at dinner she started off by giving out her bridesmaids’ gifts. Most of the bridesmaids got expensive spa packages but when Kagome pulled out her gift she was confused,

“What is this?” Kagome asked.

“That is a card for you to the hostess club. You might be interested in it since I know of a certain someone who works there. It has 50,000 dollars on the card to spend on whomever you like at the club.” Sakura explained.

“I don’t understand though, what kind of club is it?” Kagome asked,

“It’s a singles club. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed. Just trust me and go sometime.” Sakura grinning big.

“Sakura, please tell me this isn’t something inappropriate.” Kagome groaned,

“Its nothing like that I promise, we have all seen you working so hard. You don’t ever go out and have fun, especially with the opposite sex.” Sakura explained. Her husband kissed her cheek,

“Sakura is just trying to look out for you. Take some time off and enjoy life a little.” Kazuki encouraged her.

“Um, alright, thanks.” Kagome nodded, they all finished their dinners and left.

A few weeks later

Kagome was stuck on her designs, every few minutes she was ripping up her sketches and about to pull her hair out. She decided to go for a walk at seven pm, she had no idea where she was going, she just wanted some fresh air and away from her stuffy home.

“Hello? What are you doing?” Kagome answering a call from her brother Sota,

“Taking a break from all this cybersecurity studying. What are you doing?” Sota asked.

“I got stuck on a design, so I needed some fresh air.” Kagome grumbled,

“It seems like that is all you do anymore. You need to take a few days to yourself occasionally.” Sota explained.

“That’s what everyone tells me lately.” Kagome looking up and across the street, she saw the hostess club that Sakura had gotten her a card for.

“Do you know what this hostess club is?” Kagome asked, Sota snickered over the phone.

“Yeah, there are a few guys in my class who work there to pay off their student loans why?” Sota asked.

“Sakura gave me I guess a gift card for the place. It isn’t a strip club, is it?” Kagome asked,

“No, its not like that. Are you going to go?” Sota asked,

“I don’t know.” Kagome pondering on it.

“Maybe you should. How much is on the card?” Sota asked,

“She said 50,000 dollars.” Kagome pulling the card out of her pocket.

“Don’t spend it all in one night.” Sota laughing again,

“Why don’t you just tell me what it is?” Kagome asked,

“Why don’t you just go find out for yourself.” Sota clearing his throat.

“You are no help.” Kagome hanging up on him, she huffed and put her phone away, then looked at her card again and up at the sign.

“God, why me?” Kagome closing her eyes to try to decide on going in or not. Her curiosity got the better of her and she pressed the button to cross the road. When she finally entered the building, she saw it looked like it was for the rich. She was totally lost, black marble everywhere with mahogany wood flooring. The bar was made of abalone shell with beautiful coloring, black leather booths everywhere with private screens so each couple had their own privacy.

“Hi, if you will follow me.” a handsome bleach blonde short haired young guy leading her to a dark private corner booth that had a few candles for lighting.

“I have never been in here before can you tell me what to expect or how I use this card?” Kagome asked,

“That is a gift card and this is a host’s club. This is a menu of the different guys we offer for simple conversation and wine and dinning. They are paid to only flirt nothing more. Since this is your first time we will give you the discount for one hour, anything more will be the regular rate.” the bleach blonde haired guy explained, he showed her how to scroll through the ipad of the menu of guys.

“Him, Taisho.” Kagome’s cheeks turning red,

“I will still send the guys over to say hi in case you would like to change your mind.” the guy about to walk away.

“I wont change my mind, I would like Taisho.” Kagome explained as she handed over her card to pay,

“Suit yourself.” the guy taking her card and running it and giving it back to her after writing on the card how much she had left.

“He will be here shortly.” the bleached blonde explained as he nodded and left her.

When Taisho approached, he could smell the nervousness pouring from every pore of her skin. He walked over in a white tank top and a black silk unbuttoned long sleeve shirt and black slacks with a red handkerchief in his shirt pocket and black boots.

“Kagome is it not?” Taisho asked as he joined her in the booth,

“Yes, its nice to see you again.” Kagome standing there with a pencil holding her hair in a messy bun and t-shirt and sweatpants.

“This does not seem like your idea of entertainment either.” Taisho offered as he glanced her over, she looked down at herself.

“Oh, um, this was a spur of the moment type thing. I was curious what this place was when I found myself nearby, I decided to come in. My boss gave me this card as a maid of honor gift. So, I guess would you care to have dinner with me then? If you don’t wish to you don’t have to.” Kagome asked,

“I would be intrigued to.” Taisho nodded as he smiled, he picked up a small computer screen on the table,

“This is the menu.” Taisho leaning close to her to show her how to look through it and order.

“Is there anything you prefer from here?” Kagome asked,

“The steak is a good choice.” Taisho pointed out.

“Alright, what would you like to drink?” Kagome asked,

“A red wine would be good to pair with the steak.” Taisho explained.

“Um, I don’t really drink outside of home.” Kagome shyly explained,

“That is fine. I will drink whatever you chose.” Taisho chuckled a little.

“I’m doing this all wrong aren’t I?” Kagome asked,

“Essentially you are paying me to flirt with you during your time here.” Taisho explained.

“I have never had much luck with the opposite sex, so I don’t know how to act. The only reason I stayed was because I saw that you were offered on the…menu, and I figured it wouldn’t hurt to talk some more with you.” Kagome explained.

“Perhaps you should be yourself. You are attractive, I am sure there are plenty of males that look your way.” Taisho explained as he placed the order for them.

“I guess I am too busy to actually notice. The only reason I was even out tonight was because I got stuck on a design and needed out of the house before I pulled my hair out.” Kagome shrugged. He could finally smell the nervousness fading from her skin,

“It seems you have been hurt before and that is why you keep yourself busy.” Taisho stated.

“Hm, there are people I miss, and I try to keep busy, so I don’t think about them so often.” Kagome explained,

“These people, I am sure you could set up a day to go see instead of coming here.” Taisho explained.

“They are already dead.” Kagome whispered,

“Hm, and those people you came to the strip club with are they not friends?” Taisho asked.

“Yes, but they aren’t the same, no one could ever replace my other friends. I’m sure they had a good life after I left but no one could ever take their place.” Kagome choked on her words. He saw a tear running down her cheek, gently he reached out with his silk handkerchief to wipe it away.

“Oh, god, I am so sorry. I really am a bad date aren’t I?” Kagome laughing a little,

“You are just being yourself.” Taisho shrugged, he started to take in the woman before him, really looking at her.

~The half breed’s woman. Could she possibly be the one…the little priestess?~ he asked himself. Their food had just arrived,

“Thank you.” Kagome and Taisho said in unison. The waiter left them alone,

“God, again I am so sorry for crying on you.” Kagome laughing a little,

“It is alright. It seemed it was a heavy load to get off your shoulders.” Taisho explained.

“I guess it’s the first time I have really even brought it up in a while.” Kagome shrugged,

“Let us eat before it gets cold.” Taisho explained, Kagome nodded as she gave him back the silk handkerchief,

“Please keep it, it will remind you that you have someone you can come and talk to anytime about things you need to get off your chest.” Taisho explained. She nodded,

“It would be nice to have a dinner with you occasionally. You seem familiar for some reason.” Kagome glancing over at him. Taisho chuckled in a deep tone,

“You have met with me twice now how could I possibly seem familiar to you?” Taisho asked as he had another bite of his steak.

“You just remind me of someone, I just can’t put my finger on it.” Kagome taking a bit of her own steak.

“I was thinking the same thing. I am going to give you my number and you can call me whenever you wish to meet for a meal.” Taisho giving her his business card for the host club.

“Um, okay, so I guess I use this card to pay for everything we have ordered tonight, right?” Kagome asked,

“Yes, you will use it every time you come and visit me.” Taisho explained.

“You know my brother is studying the cybersecurity stuff as well. Do you go to the class or is it all just online?” Kagome asked.

“What is his name?” Taisho asked,

“Sota Higurashi.” Kagome said.

~That is the miko. Her family name was Higurashi. It’s her! You must ask her. Ask her now!~ his beast demanded. Taisho started choking on his food,

“Oh my god!” Kagome reaching over to pat him on the back to try to help him.

“I am fine, thank you.” Taisho clearing his throat,

“I think I have seen him around. He likes to goof off and likes soccer if I am not mistaken.” Taisho explained.

“Yes, that’s my little brother. Do you have any siblings?” Kagome asked,

“None that are still alive.” Taisho explained.

“I’m so sorry.” Kagome being apologetic, he waved his hand and shook his head,

“It was a long time ago and we were hardly what you call close, he was my half sibling.” Taisho explained, trying not to give too much away.

“So why do you exploit yourself at the strip club like that?” Kagome asked in hushed tones,

“It is to pay for the things I need to live, just like this place.” Taisho explained as if they were talking about the weather.

“You know you could be a model, and you wouldn’t have to work in places like these.” Kagome suggested.

“I do not have any training for things like that.” Taisho explained,

“I could ask my boss if we could use you to model our brand styles.” Kagome pointed out.

“Why would you do something like that for me, you do not even know me?” Taisho confused,

“I just think you could do better unless you enjoy working places like this and the strip club.” Kagome explained. Taisho crinkled his forehead,

“You do not know my living conditions, or what it is like for me.” Taisho explained a little upset.

“I…I’m sorry I just…I thought I could help…” Kagome being interrupted,

“I am fine where I am right now. I do not need any help.” Taisho putting his silverware down gently and trying not to cause a scene. He patted his sexy lips and got up,

“I apologize Taisho. Can you please just sit back down?” Kagome asked.

“I think this is enough for tonight. The others will show you out. I must take my leave now.” Taisho explained as he took her hand and gently kissed it to keep up his appearance around the other customers since he was a highly sought after employee.

“Well, that went well, way to go Kagome. I never was good at the whole dating thing.” Kagome mumbled to herself as she gave the guy that approached her with her total ticket for the night that came to the total $2,000 dollars.

“Can you please just tell Taisho I didn’t mean to upset him? Thanks.” Kagome softly as she took her card from the waiter and left the host’s club. Taisho was sitting with another one of his regular customers with a grin plastered on his face as he watched Kagome walk on the sidewalk back the way she had come.
